本课的知识与以往所学相联不大，而且句子比较复杂，内容也比较单调，我采用了小组竞赛的机制，调动了他们的积极性。
在教材处理上，为了保持方位的整体性，我把U2的north, south拿到本课中，让学生全面感知方位，进行了弱化处理，通过第二课之后，再要求学生达到准确熟练掌握。
一、针对以上对教材内容的分析，这节课的教学目标为:1. 知识目标：a. 学习方位词 east/ westb. 掌握功能句“….is in the east/west of …”2. 能力目标：使学生能表达事物的具体位置。
3. 情感目标：激发学生的积极情感，培养学生交流与合作的能力。
二、结合教学目标的要求,我把本课的重难点设置为：教学重点：单词：east, west重点掌握：north, south, country, America, cousin次重点掌握功能句：He lives in the east of America. Los Angeles is in the west of America. 教学难点：能够比较灵活表达事物的具体位置。
三、为了实现本课的教学目标,我设计了争当最优秀的导游团的这一任务.围绕这一任务,设计了如下环节：第一环节：复习启动,激活思维为激活了学生原有的知识储备，为学习新知识埋伏笔,上课一开始，通过Twinkle twinkle little star表演唱,自然引出宇宙、星星、地球的话题;接着通过描述世界上的国家，渗透了单词country, America以及句型He lives in…,为后面的学习做好准备,同时也降低了新授部分的难度。

Module7Unit1New York is in the east 说课稿谭渠小学：邢静一、说教材：1、教材分析：我说课的题目是《New York is in the east》，该内容出自外研社出版的小学《新标准英语》第四册第七模块第一单元。
本单元主要以介绍美国的首都城市这一话题展开，目的在于使学生掌握一些方位词，并且学会如何运用地图来描述城市的所在位置我将借助多媒体课件创设教学情景型的语言教学，采用多样化的教学手段，充分激发学生的兴趣，发挥他们的主观能动性，学会合作学习，让其初步具备运用英语进行日常交际的能力。
在导入新课时，在教学中我借助媒体播放歌曲《London bridge is falling down.》这首优美调皮的英文歌。
营造了轻松快乐的英语氛围。
使学生能自已进入到一个良好的状态中。
同时通过复习旧知识为下面学习作好铺垫，激发了学生学习的兴趣与热情。
二、说教具：课件、单词卡片、中国地图三、说教法学法：为了实现教学目标，突破本节课的重难点，根据四年级学生在认知、注意和心理发展上的特点，我主要采用了以媒体播放课件创设教学情景教学模式为主，合作法、任务型教学法等多种方法并用的方法来组织教学，积极调动学生的学习兴趣，活跃课堂气氛，充分利用多媒体教学资源，是抽象的教学内容具体化，让学生在愉快的教学氛围中完成教学任务。
四、说教学过程：整个教学过程，我利用多媒体课件创设情境为课堂主线，采用听说玩演唱等一系列的教学活动，具体设计如下：课前热身-复习旧知-拓展练习以及课后作业。
（一） Warm-up 在新授课前，我让学生齐唱歌曲“London Bridge is falling down”作为热身活动，给学生带来新意、亲切感的同时，也调动了学生的学习积极性，活跃了课堂气氛，使学生自然的进入到一个良好的学习状态中。
（二） Revision 通过课件展示英国主要的城市和景点，让学生重新复习有关英国的知识，在复习旧知的基础上也为新课的学习起到了承上启下的作业。
