Good morning, everyone. I am No.xx. I am glad to teach here.

At first, contents.

My topic is Unit 1 How tall are you? Part A of PEP Primary English Ss’ Book 8. This lesson includes 2 parts: key words in part 1 and main sentences patterns in part 2.

Next, teaching aims.

First, aims on the knowledge: Try to enable the Ss to read and use these new words: taller, stronger, older, younger, shorter and sentences patterns: How tall are you? I’m 164 cm tall.

Second, aims on the abilities: Try to develop the Ss’abilities of listening and speaking and working in groups.

Third, aims on the emotion: Try to cultivate the Ss’abilities of solving problems and arouse the Ss’ interests in English.

Next, important and difficult point.

Try to help the Ss recognize and use these words: taller, stronger, older, younger, shorter and sentences patterns: How tall are you? I’m 164 cm tall.

Next, teaching methods.

I will try to make my class interesting and amusing, to make the Ss play the main roles instead of me. In words and sentences teaching, such as pre-reading, reading individually, reading together, reading in groups,

playing games, cards, drawings may be used as well. In order to encourage the Ss, I will use “OK, Good or Good job”after their class work.

Next, teaching procedures.

Step 1 Lead in

I will ask the Ss to sing a song with me: “Twinkle, twinkle, little star. How I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high. Like a diamond in the sky.”

Step 2 Key words and phrases.

First, I will ask the Ss read by themselves. Next, ask them to read one by one, and see who is the best.

Next, read after me. taller, stronger, older, younger, shorter (指着黑板读升降调)

Step 3 Sentence patterns teaching

First, I will ask the Ss close books and listen and try to find out the new words we learned today.

Next, ask and guide the Ss to answer. For example, How tall are you? I’m 164 cm tall.

Next, role play. One is John and one is Wu to make the dialogues.

Next, listen and imitate.

Then, teach knowledge points and try to use How tall... How big... How long... and so on.

Step 4 Summary

Practice reading the sentence patterns and try to make new sentences.

一般的英语水平口试的评分标准通常包括这样几项:语音语调、跟话题相关的内容表达和逻辑性、同考官或其他测试者之间的互动交流能力,其中, 互动交流能力是一个重点考察方面。因为口语的终极目标是交流。 如果你知识熟练背诵你要表达的内容,这充其量只能是单向陈述,谈不上是交流。你还需要在口试中认真倾听考官的话,并做出正确、适当的回应。如果你没有做出回应,一味地自我陈述,考官会认定你只会背诵、不具备互动交流能力。就算你背的非常熟练,分数也不会很高。 建议: 1.需要注意的是,不要只问答词。老师辛苦辛苦地问了一句话,你一个词就打发了,感觉不太好,给人不礼貌的感觉。用句子回答。比如What’s the weather like today? 最好的回答是,it’s sunny. 2. 如果能自由发挥是很好的。比如,Where do you come from? 你可以在回答 I come from Chengdu, Sichuan. 之后,在加上一句,It’s a beautiful city. 当然要在保证回答正确的基础上发挥。简洁的一两句就很好。 熟练以下几个特殊疑问词: what——什么, how——怎样,who——谁,when——提问时间,where——提问地点,which——哪一个,why——为什么, 熟练以下几个开头的问题: what colour——颜色,what time——时间, how old——年龄,how many——数量, how much——价格
