到了英国以后,由于今后包括签手机,签这个签那个,日常消费,及时取现,存钱理财,以及几乎一切和direct debit有关的都需要在本地银行开户,在英国办张银行卡的便利之处我想不必多说了,至于在哪家银行开户,怎么办,在这里我主要想说的HSBC即汇丰银行的详细说明。
(至于汇丰对于其他银行的优势有很多,这个仁者见仁了,除了什么金融500强的头号种子,什么别的银行可能倒闭但汇丰不倒等一些和我们目前生活相距甚远的大问题,比较实际的问题是比如我喜欢汇丰的办事效率,大厅一般有1个人专门负责解答你的提问,然后告诉你该怎么做,到哪里做,而其他很多银行没有这项服务,你通常都需要排很久的队(而通常你也不知道你是否排的是正确的队),我的一个朋友为了关闭账户排了1个多小时的队,因为她首先排队说明她想要关闭账户,然后被告知你需要到那里去排队将银行卡内现金全部取出,之后她又排队取现,再之后又排队关闭账户,如果是在汇丰的话,大厅的那个咨询师会给你安排一位专门负责你关闭账户的业务人员,帮你迅速解决问题,并且汇丰还有很多便捷的地方,比如任何一家汇丰都有自助存钱机,把卡一插,钱往里一扔就ok了,不需要排队,还有的机器可以存零钱,还有等等优势,不过这个就像之前所说的那样,仁者见仁,其他银行包括TSB等也各自的优势比如TSB对于刚来英国的童鞋开普通账户是没有管理费的,而汇丰不是,具体下面会说明。
)首先先做个汇丰银行的简介,刚来到这里的童鞋可能会发现,汇丰的广告大部分都和中国或者亚洲其他国家有关,不是因为最近流行中国风,而是第一家汇丰银行就是在香港创立的,当然那时香港还是英国的殖民地,同年在上海又开办了一家分行,所以汇丰的全称是:香港上海汇丰银行有限公司,英文全称:The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HS代表的就是香港和上海)。
当然了,这自然不能表示汇丰银行就是中国的,当年汇丰的创始人是苏格兰人,而且那时香港也是英国殖民地。

一般除了开户外,银行会赠予一些其他小玩意,大多都是和有商业往来公司的礼品赠予:1. 10镑的手机电话卡,插到手机里就能用了,这个对刚来的童鞋十分有用,通常是Talkmobile World公司的,打中国是4p/分钟 2. 可以积分的西联汇款卡(Western Union),对于西联汇款,相信在这里呆久了的各位不会陌生,在英国有很多人很喜欢用西联汇款的方式来进行诈骗,所以提醒一句,什么时候都不要贪图小便宜,再就是如果有人建议你西联汇款,那你要小心了。
3. 提供免费red24咨询,这是一种支持汉语的国外资讯服务,包括有关签证,移民,医院等问题的咨询下面说一下此账户的最大缺点:账户费用:此帐户需要交帐户管理费,分期付款:每月8镑,前3个月每月6镑。
我在办的时候有一次性付清服务,是58镑,但不知道现在可不可以,另外在我办理的那年,他会给你一张卡片,如果你推荐朋友来开同样这个帐户的话,那开办者将会免年费(或者是现金奖励,这个记不清了),而你也会获得账户反现。
缺点说完了,下面说一下这个账户的优势以及如何理财:优势:理财:理财这一部分详细问题将在理财篇做讲解,Passport帐户可以办理汇丰汇率最高的存款帐户Regular Saver: 8% AER/gross 这种存款帐户,如果每月都定期存入250镑的话(一年内不能取出),那一年的纯利息(也就是能拿到手里的钱)为104镑(计算方法也将在理财篇陈述),所以利用这些利息足够支付这个帐户所需要交的帐户管理费了,而且还略有结余不过这里需要提醒的是如果想开Regular Saver帐户的话,需要在开Passport帐户时告诉业务员你要开这种存款帐户,或者手动在网上自己在线开户,因为这种存款帐户不是办理时自动开办的。
不过由于大部分开Passport帐户的都是留学生,刚到这里很多存款帐户不知道如何开办,所以如果你开办Passport帐户的话,银行会自动给你开办一个活期存款帐户名为:Flexible Saver(详情也见理财篇),这个存款帐户可以和Regular Saver同时存在没有问题。
另外再就是一些开办所有汇丰帐户都通用的地方:通用: 1. 开办完Passport帐户,1周后银行会给你邮寄HSBC Visa debit card (visa借记卡)(如果是passport账户,因为刚来英国还没有确定的住址,所以通常银行都是让你到他们那里取,而不是邮寄到你家里),能够方便的从ATM机取款刷卡网上购物(全无手续费)。
2. 再过几天后,银行会给你邮寄2本新的支票本(cheque book),以及你借记卡的密码(PIN)。
3. 汇丰银行卡海外ATM取现手续费为2%,从英国境内汇款到其他国家手续费为2.75%。
4. 手机银行服务,可以拨打汇丰电话进行帐户管理。
Basic Bank Account(银行基础帐户)上面曾提到过这种帐户,但是是从Passport帐户降级到这种帐户的,通常来讲这种基础帐户是不能办理的,都是降级降下来的,优缺点简单说一下,优点就是没有帐户管理费,帐户里面资金不用保持一个数值,缺点是,每天取现上限为200镑,此帐户没有利息等。

晋级篇Bank Account(汇丰标准银行帐户)这种帐户是汇丰最常用最基本的帐户,如果你的Passport帐户到期了(并且有良好的信誉度(对于信誉度的问题可以看信用卡篇对于信用卡的简单描述)),建议你可以转变为此帐户类型。
你所要具备以及需要达到的条件是:条件: 1. 年满18周岁,对于留学生,一般要求在英国居住1年半左右(良好的信用),出示能证明目前居住地址的账单(如写有此地址的银行账单或者手机账单等等)。
2. 如果年满24周岁,需帐户每月都保证500镑进账,可以不保持账户所剩金额,但必须每月有500镑打入账户(你可以转入后再转出),如果没有做到的话银行会发警告信,如果还没有存入,账户会自动降级为Basic Bank Account,对于极少信用不好的,银行会关闭账户。
不过如果你未满24周岁的话,那上述这条并不适用于你,你可以不必保持每月都有500镑入账。

帐户缺点:相信不说大家也知道此帐户最大缺点就是如果你满24周岁的话,你需要每月都转入500镑,所以如果可能的话,实在那个月没有500镑那就借朋友的钱转进再转出吧缺点说完了,下面说一下这个账户的优势以及如何理财:优势:此帐户支持透支,当然因为还是发的借记卡,所以自然不会像信用卡似的你可以没完没了的将其刷爆,这里的透支是指,如果你不小心超过卡内金额多刷了几笔小钱(几镑),然后你发现后再存入,这样没有问题,但是如果你刷的超的太多,如10几镑,20几镑,这就属于恶意透支,那除了要还清本金,还需要支付几倍于本金的利息,所以千万注意不要恶意透支。
我的一个朋友就是不小心多刷了20几镑,结果银行罚了50多镑。
不过此帐户你可以申请透支金额(Overdraft Service),最多5000,最少50镑,使用此服务时间为7到12个月。
申请透支金额是指,如果你申请了可以透支100镑,那如果哪次你多刷了100镑以内那就没有问题,除了超过归还时间缴纳利息外(利息为19.9% EAR),不会算你恶意透支而罚款。
