一、教学对象分析
班上大多数学生英语基础差,词汇量低,阅读英语的技能弱。
所以,如何设计合适的任务,让学生愿意参与,敢于参与,乐于参与,是教学设计过程中考虑的重点。
二、教材内容分析
本节课的内容是人教版模块三第五单元的阅读(Reading)部分,阅读部分是一篇游记,记述了李黛予和刘倩这两个女孩去加拿大看望表兄妹,乘坐火车横穿加拿大的旅途见闻。
通过两位旅人的所见、所闻、所感来介绍加拿大的自然风光、主要城市、人口、动物、淡水资源等。
相比旧教材的介绍加拿大的文章,这种介绍国家的方式,更能引发学生的学习兴趣,但是难度也更大,对中低层学生而言,更是不小的挑战。
三、教学目标
1.学生能够掌握“真北方”之旅的各种信息;
2.学生能够进一步了解加拿大;
3.学生能够总结概括介绍地点以及写游记的一些方法;
4.学生能够通过合作共同完成任务。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up and lead-in
(1)视频热身/问题导入
教师展示图片,让学生用一些形容词说说对这个国家的第一印象。
T: Which country these pictures remind you of ? Can you use some adjectives to describe it?
教师设计5个小问题测试学生,了解学生对加拿大一些基本情况的熟悉程度,以此导入到本课的课题。

Step 2 Fast reading
(1)标题理解
教师让学生阅读课文,并注意标题和图片,迅速找出“真北方”
在课文中指什么。

快速阅读文章,分段,并找出每部分的大意。
