In the deep autumn of 2020, a remarkable journey began in the ancient city of Hangzhou, China. It was not just any ordinary journey; it was a leap into the unknown, a dialogue between the past and the future. The setting was the ancient West Lake, a serene and beautiful landscape that had witnessed centuries of history and change. On this fateful day, a group of high school students gathered at the lakeside, each carrying a notebook and a pen. They were not there to study or to enjoy the scenery; they were there to participate in an extraordinary task—to continue a story that had begun hundreds of years ago.The story, "A Journey to the West," was a classic of Chinese literature, a tale that had captured the imaginations of generations. But this was not just any continuation; it was a fusion of the old and the new, a blend of traditional storytelling and modern creativity. As the students sat down to write, they felt the weight of history upon them. They knew that their words would become a part of this ancient legend, a bridge between the past and the future. With pens flying across the pages, ideas and inspirations flowed freely. One student, a girl named Li Hua, chose to focus on the theme of environmental protection. She imagined a future where the West Lake was threatened by pollution and climate change. In her story, the heroes of the original tale, Sun Wukong and his companions, were called upon to save the lake from destruction. As Li Hua wrote, she felt a sense of urgency and responsibility. She knew that her story was not just a fiction; it was a warning about the real-world challenges we face today. She hoped that by writing about these issues, she could raise awareness and inspire others to action.Another student, Zhang Yang, took a different approach. He chose to explore the theme of technology and its impact on society. In his story, the heroes used advanced technology totravel through time and space, encountering different cultures and learning from their experiences.Zhang Yang was fascinated by the possibilities of technology and its role in shaping our future. He believed that by blending traditional storytelling with modern themes, he could create a bridge between the old and the new, a way to connect generations and share wisdom. As the students continued to write, they were joined by local residents and visitors who were curious about this unusual activity. They stopped to watch and even offered their own suggestions and insights. The atmosphere was lively and inspiring, a testament to the power of storytelling and its ability to bring people together. As the sun set over the West Lake, the students packed up their notebooks and pens. They knew that their work was done, but they also knew that their journey had just begun. They had taken part in something remarkable—a fusion of tradition and modernity, a bridge between the past and the future. As they walked away from the lakeside, they carried with them not just the memories of this special day but also a sense of purpose and hope. They knew that their stories could make a difference, could inspire others to action and create a better world. And so, the journey continued—a journey that would span generations and connect the past with the future, a journey that would be remembered and told for centuries to come.**跨越时空的对话:传统与未来的融合**2020年深秋,一场非凡的旅程在中国古城杭州悄然展开。

The Voice of Rigobe quiet. His mother would tell him to use his quiet voiceask him to speak quietly in the car so that he could concentrate on his driving. His teacher would tell him to talk quietly so he would not bother everyone who was working. Not only did he have a loud voice, but Rigo liked to talk. He liked to talk a lot. Whenever he had time he would talk with his classmates, sharing everything he considered fan. He liked to yell and shout. Sometimes he just yelled, “Hey!” for no reason. He liked the sound of his very loud voice for he thought it had more penetrating (穿透的) power than that of an actor. But not everyone felt the same way. When Rigo shouted good-bye as he left for school, his mother shook her head. “Rigo! Be quiet!” When his father drove him to school, Rigo said, “Hey! There’s Chris!” He pointed at hisfriend, who was walking to school. His father shook his head. “Rigo, use a quiet voice in the car.” At school, his teacher talked to him three times about using his quiet voice. His classmates shook their heads, throwing an upset look at him when he talked aloud.Later, Rigo had to sit by himself for a while. His teacher wanted him topractice being quiet. Rigo had to sit quietly for five minutes. It felt like five hours or five days. When the five minutes were up, Rigo went to his desk and sat quietly. It was not easy. After school, Rigo was waiting for his father. He saw Chris again. “Hey!” he yelled. “Chris! Hey!”The headmaster was walking by.

Be a story; Beyond a story.

Mei Mei frowned as she helped her mother and father set out the cooking supplies in the shiny steel kitchen. Her family had just moved here from San Francisco, having bought a small restaurant, which was set to open in the next few days.“Moving here was a stupid idea. I have lost all my friends in San Francisco. What should I do now? ” Mei Mei grumbled, mostly to herself.“What’s that?" Her mother asked, opening a box and lifting out several pots and a wok.“Nothing," Mei Mei mumbled. The girl had been complaining about the move, but her parents had made the decision and were now too busy getting ready for the grand opening to listen to her complaints. The first few days at her new school hadn't been easy, either. She found it hard to talk to people she didn't know, and it seemed like the students hadn't even noticed her. Mei Mei sighed and got back to washing dishes. On the day of the grand opening, Mei Mei's parents were all smiles, welcoming customers into the restaurant, brightly decorated in gold and red. Even Mei Mei was in a good mood as she rushed around, seating guests, handing out menus, and pouring tall glasses of water. This was a big day for her family. At one of the tables sat a family with two daughters who were about Mei Mei's age. As she filled their glasses, Mei Mei realized the twins were in her class. Mei Mei ducked her head down so her long hair covered her face, and she turned away from the table.Mei Mei's mother found her soon after, in the kitchen loading the dishwasher.“Honey, what are you doing back here? We need you out front with the customers.”Paragraph1:“Mom, I don't want to be out there! ”___________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph2:Mei Mei put a handful of cookies into a small plate and left the kitchen._______________ _____________________________________________________________________________Passage 2【2020.5.8嘉兴二模】Missus Sommers one day found herself the unexpected owner of fifteen dollars. It seemed to her a very large amount of money. For a day or two, she walked around in a dreamy state as she thought about her choices. Her daughter Janie was wearing worn shoes and needed new ones. She would buy cloth for new shirts for the boys. Her daughter Mag should have another dress. And still there would be enough left for new stockings for her children. The idea about how to spend the dollars made her restless with excitement. On the day she planned to go shopping with the money, she ate a light meal -no!Between getting the children fed and the house cleaned, and preparing herself to go shopping, she forgot to eat at all? When she arrived at the large department store, she spotted a pile of silk stockings at the entrance. A sign nearby announced that they had been reduced in price. A young girl behind the counter asked her if she wished to examine the silky leg coverings. She smiled as if she had been asked to inspect diamond jewelry, and started to feel the soft, expensive items. Missus Sommers picked up a black pair and looked at them closely. Two red marks suddenly showed on her pale face. She looked up at the shop girl and said proudly, “Well, I will buy this pair.”Missus Sommers changed her cotton stockings for the new silk ones in the ladies’ rest area. She had let herself be controlled by some machine-like force that directed her actions and freed her of responsibility. How good was the touch of the silk on her skin! Then she put her shoes back on and put her old stockings into her bag. Next, she went to the shoe department, where she tried on a pair of new boots. Her foot and ankle looked lovely. She could not believe that they were a part of herself.Paragraph 1:After buying a pair of new boots, she walked into the clothing department._____________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2:She was about to leave the store when a kid running around reminded her of something. ___________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________Passage 3【2020.05 台州二模】Freddie woke up to see it was snowing-again. The world outside was white. Snow covered the roads, the cars, the houses, and even the driveway Freddie had just shoveled(铲) the day before.“Ugh,” said Freddie. “No more snow!” He got out of bed and headed to the bathroom for his regular morning shower. As he reached for the taps, his mother appeared in the doorway.“I’ve got news,” she said. “There’s been so much s now overnight that the roads are slippery and dangerous. I just heard on the radio that they canceled the school buses for the day.”Freddie groaned. “Then how am I supposed to get to school?”His mom grinned. “I guess you don’t. It’s a snow day!”Fredd ie’s eyes lit up. He’d never had a snow day off from school before. What would he do first?“I’m going back to bed!” Freddie headed back to his room and climbed under the covers. After a few minutes, he realized that it was too late. He was already wide awake. He headed down to the kitchen and then sat at the table, watching his father fry the eggs over in the pan andhis mother pour juice and coffee. It was relaxing, thought Freddie. After breakfast his mother suggested he go out and build a snowman. Fredd ie wasn’t too sure. He didn’t really like the cold and the snow. He’d rather stay inside and play video games.“You can play afterward, but how about going outside for a little bit? It’s good to get some fresh air, and who knows, you might even enjoy yours elf.” Freddie unwillingly put on the warm clothes and headed outside.Standing alone in the front yard, with the cold wind blowing, was not Freddie’s idea of a good time. Knowing his mom meant what she said, the boy sighed, thinking the quicker he completed his snowman, the faster he could go back inside to his video games. He set to work packing up some snow into a large ball.Moments later, he saw one of his friends appearing from his house up the street. Dion waddled(蹒跚) out in his big snow trousers and heavy overcoat. He waved to Freddie.“Hey there! I saw you out here and thought you might want company. He was hiking the remote land behind his farm in a small town near the U.S.-Mexico border, and there lying on the grass was a balloon. He walked toward it with his dog, thinking he should pick it up and throw it away. That’s when he noticed the balloon’s string was attached to a piece of paper. “Dayami,” it read on one side, in a child’s writing. A hand-drawn bow accompanied the word. Heiss flipped the paper over. On the back he saw a numbered list, all in Spanish. His Spanish wasn’t very good, but he could see it was a Christmas list!Heiss was charmed. He suspected that a child had tried to send Santa Claus a Christmas wish list by balloon, something he used to do himself when he was a kid. Nobody had ever returned the letters Heiss had sent, but he wondered whether he could find the girl who had sent this one.It would be difficult, but Heiss had a few clues. About 20 miles to the southwest, just across the border, was the city of Nogales, Mexico, with a population of about a quarter million. Based on the wind direction, he was almost sure that was where it came from. Heiss brought the note home to his wife, who is fluent in Spanish and helped him translate the list. They determinedthat Dayami, probably a girl, had asked for a doll, a dollhouse, doll clothes and art supplies.Heiss then posted his search about finding Dayami on Facebook, attaching photos, hoping some of his friends in Nogales might know the girl’s f amily. A few days passed with no results; Heiss worried that time was running out before Christmas. On December 19, 2018, he decided to send a private Facebook message to Radio Xeny, an AM radio station based in Nogales. To his surprise, someone from the station called him back right away and promised him to post his search on the stati on’s Facebook page immediately.Paragraph 1:The next morning, Heiss awoke to a message from Radio Xeny. ______________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2:Dayami’s eyes were wide open with wonder.______________ _______________________ _____________________________________________________________________________Passage 5【宁波5月适应性考试读后续写文本】Emily White was born seventeen years ago with so many birth problems in her body. His mom gave him a hug, even though he was soaking wet.A week later, it was time for another swim meet. Like before, Mike decided to enjoy his favorite ice cream flavor. Mike remembered that the last time he had won a race, he also ate mint chocolate chip ice cream first. Maybe he'd win again. He’s taken first place again in his race. Mike was feeling pr etty good. As it turned out, Mike decided to have some mint chocolate chip Ice cream before every one of the next few swim meets. He began to think of it as his lucky charm. After several months of placing in the top positions of every race he swam, Mike w as feeling unbeatable. And he wouldn’t admit it, but all that ice cream was adding a few pounds to his athletic swimmer's build. It didn’t take long after that for Mike to start coming in second place-and then third-and then last place in his races. The lucky mint chocolate chip ice cream had lost its magic. On the day of his next swim meet, his mother sat down at the table with him. “Mike, we all love ice cream, but it's not healthy for your body to eat so much of it. Maybe it's time to quit the sweet treats for a while, especially before you go swimming.Mike unwillingly agreed. He went to the swim meet, and didn’t perform well. His father offered to go running with him a few days a week to help him feel better and strengthen his muscles. The extra weight soon disappeared, and Mike found himself breathing easier at swim practices.Paragraph1:It was the last meet of the season, and Mike wasn't sure what to expect._______________ _____________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2Finally came the end of the race.___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Passage 1One possible version:“Mom. I don’t want to be out there!”Mei Mei murmured, head drooping. Feeling Mei Mei in a bad mood, her mother asked her what was wrong softly. At that moment, Mei Mei couldn’t help pouring out her troubles, “Without a friend, I’m isolated here.” Realizing they failed to care about Mei Mei’s feelings in entirely new surroundings, her mother felt her heart sink. Holding her daughter in her arms, she apologized for her ignorance and suggested she can make new friends by taking action first. What her mother said really comforted her and motivated her to take the first step. Suddenly, an idea popped into her head.Mei Mei put a handful of cookies into a small plate and left the kitchen. She went straight towards the twins’table and put the plate on their table, saying the cookies were specially prepared for friends by her parents’ restaurant. Amazed, the twins had their mouth open, for they had never seen Mei Mei as a friend. Mei Mei added that she was new here and wondered if they could be her tour guides on weekends. The twins nodded, sincerely inviting her to join them. Over chatting, Me Mei found they shared the same interest—making pots. She pictured three little girls making pots, her face lit up and lips curving into a smile.“妈妈。

2. 时空变化:注意三个时间, the next evening, the next day, that afternoon,注意两个地点,at home,还有第二段的最后部分应该到了Dana家。
