July 4, 1776, the declaration by the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia approved the day after the hereby U.S. Independence Day. The originals of the Declaration was signed by the Continental Congress delegates, and on permanent display in Washington, DC, National Archives and Records Department. This one of America's most important founding instruments of the Declaration.

Celebration Early independence day celebrations are mainly demonstrations and lectures, and with some religious overtones. Later increased outdoor activities, sports competitions and other projects. Firecrackers, fireworks activities were also very popular, in twentieth Century before being cancelled, to prevent the occurrence of danger.

Independence Day of the United States, also referred to as Fourth of July or July Fourth in the U.S., is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, by the Continental Congress declaring that the thirteen American colonies regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America, and no longer part of the British Empire. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the National Day of the United States. Patriotic displays and family events are organized throughout the United States.The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.Adams's prediction was off by two days. From the outset, Americans celebrated independence on July 4, the date shown on the much-publicized Declaration of Independence, rather than on July 2, the date the resolution of independence was approved in a closed session of Congress.Historians have long disputed whether Congress actually signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, even though Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin all later wrote that they had signed it on that day. Most historians have concluded that the Declaration was signed nearly a month after its adoption, on August 2, 1776, and not on July 4 as is commonly believed.Coincidentally, both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, the only signers of the Declaration of Independence later to serve as Presidents of the United States, died onIndependence Day is a day of family celebrations with picnics and barbecues, showing a great deal of emphasis on the American tradition of political freedom. 2021年美国国庆日是几月几日独立日Independence Day，又称Fourth of July或July Fourth是美国的重要法定节日之一，日期为每年7月4日，以纪念1776年7月4日大陆会议在费城正式通过《独立宣言》。
通过《独立宣言》的这一天也成为美国人民永远纪念的节日，定为美国独立日。
7月4日是美国的独立纪念日。
这一天，举国欢腾，万家同乐，展现着美国人民的爱国热诚，人们铭记这个获得解放的日子。
从东岸到西岸，都会举行盛大庆典和游行，人们通过表演、娱乐、体育竞赛、放礼炮、鸣钟、放烟火和张灯结彩，隆重庆祝这个日子。
独立日通常会放烟花，从官方的大型烟花表演表演到私人后院的烟花视各州法律而定，不过很多地方都规定18周岁以上才能购买和燃放烟花，都不足为奇。
独立日当天，全国范围内，很多地方都会举行以大到州县，小到社区为单位的烟花表演，各大著名的景点也都会燃放烟火秀，通常烟火秀也会以红蓝星条旗的颜色为主题。

每年July 4th，主办方都会为庆祝节日而举办2-3场特别的音乐会，名为July 4th Fireworks Spectacular。
一般均由洛杉矶爱乐乐团 Los Angeles Philharmonic带来交响乐的演出，交响乐协奏的芭蕾或是其他表演，以及随着音乐节奏起落的烟花和鸣炮。
今年的主题仍然为July 4th Fireworks Spectacular，洛杉矶爱乐乐团主奏，芝加哥乐队助阵演出。

The revolution was important and the ideals that this country was founded on, ideals of equality, respect for one another, and a commitment to progress, are ideals to be proud of, even if we don’t always live up to those ideals. I know many liberals hate to hear it, but the majority ofthe world is worse off than us, from third world countries to dictatorships, the world has got a lot of bad in it. And the much longer, more troubled histories of nations such as England have more mistakes and terrible acts in them than ours do. America has ideals and a commitment to democracy and freedom you can find nowhere else. Our spirit is strong and even if our government doesn’t live up to that spirit all the time, our citizens strive for it. Independence Day isn’t about petty squabbles and historical smear campaigns. This day is about celebrating our achievements and our ideals, acknowledging our mistakes, and reaffirming our commitment to make this country better so that, one day, those principles that the men who drafted our Declaration of Independence put forth, will be fully realized.。
