1.2热量物体温度的高低表示了物体的物质分子热运动剧烈的程度，温度的高低也表示物体所具有能量的高低，这种能量称为热能。
当温度不同的两个物体相接触时，两者温度逐步趋于一致，发生了热能从温度较高的物体向温度较低的物体转移，此时物体所放出或吸收的能量称为热量。
常用的热量单位有：a. 卡在标准大气压力下，将l克的水加热或冷却，其温度升高或降低l ℃时，所加进或除去的热量称为l卡，以符号cal表示。
因卡的单位太小，工程上往往采用其1000倍的千卡或大卡来表示。
具符号为kcal。
b. 英热单位在标准大气压下，将11b(磅)(11b＝0.454kg)水加热或冷却，其温度升高或降低华氏温度l oF，所加进或除去的热量称为一个英热单位，其符号为Btu。
c. 焦耳在国际单位制中，取热量单位与功的单位一致，以焦耳表示。
焦耳相当于用1N(牛顿)的力，共作用点在力的方向上移动l m(米)所做的功。
因此，在国际单位制中，焦耳是功和能的单位，采用这种单位使计算简化，焦耳的符号为J。

1、室内机：空调的室内部分，一般分为壁挂式，柜式，天花式，管道式等等，包含蒸发器，室内风扇，风扇马达，控制部分。
2、室外机：空调的室外部分，包括压缩机，冷凝器和风扇及风扇马达，室外控制部分。
3、压缩机：提高制冷剂气体压力的装置，将低温低压的气体变成高温高压的气体。
4、制冷剂（冷媒）：空调冷冻循环系统中循环的物质，是热量的载体，通过状态的改变来吸收或释放热量，从而使空调器达到制冷或制暖的目的。
5、制冷量：制冷时空调器单位时间内室内机吸收的热量，单位一般用W或KW表示。
目前市场上有关空调器制冷量的大小应以W（瓦）来表示，而市场上常用匹来描述空调器制冷量的大小。
这二者之间的换算关系为：1匹的制冷量大约为2000大卡，换算成国际单位瓦应乘以1.162，这样，1匹制冷量应为2000大卡×1.162＝2324W。
这里的W（瓦）即表示制冷量，而1．5匹的制冷量应为2000大卡×1.5×1.162＝2486W。
通常情况下，家庭普通房间每平方米所需的制冷量为115-145W，客厅、饭厅每平方米所需的制冷量为145-175W。
比如，某家庭客厅使用面积为15平方米，若按每平方米所需制冷量160W考虑，则所需空调制冷量为：160W×15＝2400W。
这样，就可根据所需2400W的制冷量对应选购具有2500W制冷量的KF-25GW型分体壁挂式空调器。
6、输入功率（耗电量）：空调运转时，单位时间消耗的电力，单位一般用W或KW表示。
7、能效比（EER）：空调制冷量和制冷输入功率的比值。
比值越大表示制冷性能越好。
8、性能系数（COP）：空调制暖时制暖量和输入功率的比值。
比值越大表示制暖性能越好。
9、制暖量：制暖时空调器单位时间内室内机释放的热量，单位一般用W或KW表示。
10、热交换器：空调器中用于空调系统和周围环境交换热量的装置。
11、冷凝器，蒸发器：冷凝器即为空调室外机的热交换器，蒸发器即为室外机热交换器。
12、温度传感器：空调器用来测量温度的电子元件。
13、R410A：是一种新型环保制冷剂，不破坏臭氧层，工作压力为普通R22空调的1.6倍左右，制冷（暖）效率更高。
功率：有两种含义：一是空调的功率指的是制冷或制热的能量，选配空调时，一般都是问制冷量多少?即所说的多少匹?即多大的空调。
二是空调的功率指的是耗电能量，如1P的空调所指示的制冷功率为2500W，压缩机及其风机等的额定耗电量为1100W。
电源性能：什么是空调的电源性能，我们一般在参数上看见电源性能标注为1-220-50，这个数值究竟代表了什么?1是指单相，220是指额定电压220v，50是指额定频率50hz。
除湿量：在空调的附加功能上有的会标注有除湿功能，而这一功能在产品参数上所体现的就是一个除湿量的数值。
那么何为除湿量?除湿量：指单位时间内从密闭空间、房间或区域的空气中除去的水分，叫除湿量。
单位：升/小时(L/H)能效比：对于一款空调产品来说，能效比越大则说明这款空调越省电，那么究竟什么是空调能效比，如何测算出这样的数值呢?能效比：(EER)在额定工况和条件下，空调器进行制冷运行时，制冷量与有效输入功率之比。
EER=制冷量/输入功率，此值能检验空调的性能，值越大，系统匹配越好，空调性能优越，制冷、制热效果越好，耗电量越小。
能效级别：空调的能效级别分为3个等级，最为节能的是1级能效的空调产品，依次就是二级能效以及三级能效的空调。
额定制冷量小于等于4500W的分体式房间空调器能效限定值为3.2,额定制冷量大于4500W小于等于7100W的为3.1,额定制冷量大于7100W小于等于14000W 的为3.0。
