二、教学过程建议（一）热身导入1.教师热情地欢迎学生回到学校，并请学生说一说在暑假里去过哪些地方，做了哪些有意思的事情，结识了哪些朋友。
教师可以请学生展示他们在暑假期间拍过的照片。
2.复习三年级下学期所学的歌“I was fat”和“We were in the supermarket”，请学生演唱歌曲，并引导学生注意“was, were”的用法，然后请学生运用“was, were”来表述自己在暑假期间所拍照片里的场所和从事的活动。
3.向学生展示SB Unit1活动1的挂图,请学生看图理解语境:小动物们调整座位。
4.播放录音，逐句停顿，请学生小组跟读、个人跟读，然后请学生两人一组朗读对话。
如果所在班级也调整了座位，教师则可以组织学生模仿书中的对话，找自己的新座位。
（二）任务呈现教师对学生说：“大家在暑假中一定认识了不少新朋友吧？他们可能是实际生活中的朋友，也可能是书本上的朋友。
大家知道该如何描述朋友的特征吗？今天我们就来学习吧，然后我们为自己的好朋友写一段特征描述，好不好？”（三）课文学习1.教师对学生说：“我们都知道Amy在中国有很多朋友，可是我们还不知道Amy 在英国有什么朋友。
现在，我们一起来认识一下Amy在英国的好朋友吧。
”2.播放SB Unit1活动2的动画或录音，动画或边听录音边看挂图，教师帮助学生理解课文语境。
3.再次播放录音，请学生完整地听一遍，进一步理解语句。
播放第三遍录音，请学生逐句跟读。
对于学生跟读有困难的语句，教师先带读较难词语，然后按照意群、节奏重点带读，请学生注意模仿语音语调。
4.在跟读过程中，通过图片、动作、语言说明等方式，学习“dear, well, of, soon, tell, love”，并进行运用训练。
