经过两年的英语学习，五年级的学生已经有一定的英语基础，形成了良好的听、说、读、写的学习习惯。
部分学生还能做到课前预习的好习惯。
但是，所教的班内学生班级分化比较大，优秀的学生很有兴致的学习，上课认真听讲，下课认真完成作业，而中下层的学生随着课本难度的不断加大，他们为学习而学习，个别学生甚至对学习逐渐产生厌恶情绪，上课走神，态度很不端正。
影响学情的主要因素有：1、家庭原因：部分学生家长在子女教育方面缺乏有效的方法，有的只是简单的满足。
2、学生自身原因：学习兴趣不是很高，部分学生甚至有厌恶感，同时，许多学生还是为学习而学习，谈不上兴趣问题。
部分学生学习的目的性不是很强，导致学习习惯不好，学习无明确的计划，有作业就写，无作业就玩。
老师布置的作业不能按时完成，回家看书也只是应付家长，作业不能很好完成，作为语言性学科，听与读是非常关键的环节，而大多数学生这一点做的不好，这在听力测试时表现的尤为明显。
效果分析本节课通过创设情景，小组合作学习等形式，使学生学会在实际情景中能恰当地使用所学6个月份单词January,February,March,April,May,June和用句型When is ...?It’s in...询问他人某项活动在什么时候。
利用Let’s chant进行巩固、操练Let’s learn中学习的单词和重点句型，鼓励学生在真实情境中会话。
另外，通过三个不同任务的练习，使学生循序渐进，一步步的掌握教学重点，既活跃了课堂气氛，提高了学生学习积极性，加深了对所学单词的记忆，通过group work使所有同学都能参与到重点句型的练习中，从而突破了教学难点，基本完成了本节课的教学目标。
