According to the US scientist Edward T. Hall, in a conversation between two people, 65 percent of communication is done through body language. In some cases, you can express yourself without any words at all. For example, if your friend asks you to come on a picnic, you could give him an “OK” gesture.
If the hero never comes to you If you need someone You’re feeling blue If you wait for love And you’re alone
If you call your friends nobody’s home You can 1. _r_u_n__a_w_a_y_ But you can’t hide Through a storm And through a lonely night Then I’ll show you there’s a destiny The best things in life
What are the sman / woman tell the woman / man to do? What are the two speakers talking about?
And I’ll make your day When the nights Are getting cold and blue When the days Are getting hard for you I will always stay here by your side I promise you I’ll never hide
M: No, I’m not getting another car. I’ve decided to live without one. W: Wow. What made you do that? M: I think there are too many cars. And this town is already far too polluted. W: Well, that’s true. But a car is useful. M: I don’t think so. Not in the city center, anyway. I
Cry on My Shoulder
1. How did the man get to work today? A. By bike. B. By bus. C. On foot.
2. What is the man’s major concern about driving a car? A. Expenses. B. Health. C. Environment.
M: Jane, what is wrong with you? Have you lost your keys again? W: No. It’s my glasses this time. Can you hold my books for a minute? Just need to check in my bag.
But if you wanna cry Cry on my shoulder If you need someone Who cares for you If you’re feeling sad Your heart gets colder Yes I show you
What real love can do But if you wanna cry Cry on my shoulder If you need someone Who cares for you If you’re feeling sad Your heart gets colder
Sometimes, your words say one thing but your body language says another. For example, you may touch your face unconsciously while telling a lie.
However, just like spoken language, body language isn’t universal. It can have a totally different meaning in different cultures. While in some Asian countries, it is rude to look straight at a person while you talk,
in the US and Europe, eye contact means you are interested in what someone is saying.
Another example is greetings. In some Asian cultures, it’s common to bow one’s head or body. However, in European countries, people may kiss each other’s cheeks. Maoris (毛利人), the native people of New Zealand, touch noses as a greeting.
Yes I show you What real love can do What real love can do What real love can do What love can do What love can do Love can do

W: Well, I couldn’t do without my car. I have to take the children to school every day. M: I don’t think children get enough exercise these days. They should walk to school. W: Okay, I see what you mean.
So before you travel, you may want to brush up (温习) on body language.
