I'm glad you asked!First of all, we get out of school for the whole day! No classes, no homework, no tests. Just a free day to do whatever we want. My parents take the day off work too so we can all spend it together as a family. We usually start the morning by sleeping in late. No annoying alarm clocks or mom yelling at me to get up. I can snooze as long as I want. Bliss!Once I finally roll out of bed, it's time for the next best part - presents! My parents and grandparents always get me the coolest toys and games. Last year I got a new video game console and this huge tub of K'nex building sets. This year I'm hoping for that sweet new drone I've been dropping hints about for months. I can't wait to unbox all my new goodies and start playing with them right away. No school means no distractions!After present time, we'll probably head out for a fun family activity. Sometimes we go to an amusement park or water park. Other times we'll catch a movie at the theater and then go out for a nice lunch. My favorite is when we pack a picnic and spend the whole day hiking at the nature reserve near our house. We'll play frisbee, climb trees, and just enjoy being surrounded by greenery. Those peaceful days out in nature help recharge my batteries.No matter where we go, you'd better believe I'll be dressed up in my finest clothes to celebrate the occasion. We usually invite all my friends over and their families too. Mom and dad decorate the whole house with streamers, balloons, and fun decorations. We'll grill out burgers and hot dogs and have all my favorite snacks and desserts. Soda, chips, ice cream, the works! Maybe we'll even get a piñata to whack at. Smashing stuff is always a good time.While the parents are chatting, us kids will occupy ourselves however we please. Video game tournaments, water balloon fights, you name it. We'll run around like maniacs until we're completely worn out. At the end of the night, we'll all pass out in sleeping bags in the living room while an endless loop of kids movies plays in the background. I can't think of a better way to cap off my favorite day of the year.When I wake up the next morning, I'm always a little bummed that Children's Day is over. But then I remember all the great memories I made and the new toys I got to take home. I'll spend the next few weeks enjoying those until my birthday rolls around. See ya next Children's Day!篇5My Favorite Children's DayChildren's Day is my absolute favorite holiday of the entire year! It's a special day just for kids like me where we get to celebrate being kids and have lots of fun. Every year on June 1st, I look forward to the amazing activities and festivities.At my school, we always have a huge Children's Day celebration. It starts with a big performance in the auditorium in the morning. All the different grades prepare dances, songs, skits and talents to share on the big stage. My class did a hip hop dance routine to "Old Town Road" this year and it was so fun practicing the moves and putting on our costumes. I got to be one of the lead dancers!After the performance, we get to go outside for carnival games and activities. There are booths set up all around the playground with different games to play. My favorites are always the ring toss, balloon darts, and the cakewalk. I'm a pro at thering toss and won three prizes this year - a inflatable guitar, some candy, and a stretchy animal! The cakewalk is my favorite game though. You walk around in a circle following the music and when it stops you get whatever number you landed on. If it's your lucky number, you win a cake! This year I won a chocolate fudge cake and it was amazingly delicious.There's also yummy festival food for lunch. They have cotton candy, popcorn, icees, pizza, hot dogs and more. I loaded up on cotton candy this year - I think I had four different colors! My friends and I had a contest to see who could make the biggest cotton candy ball by combining all our pieces. It got super huge and sticky but it was hilarious.In the afternoon, there are always fun activities and workshops to do. This year, I went to a science magic show, made tie-dye t-shirts, and learned some hip hop dance moves. The science magic show was super cool - the instructor did all sorts of experiments that looked like real magic was happening! The tie-dye was my favorite though. I made an awesome swirly pattern of purple, green and blue. I can't wait to wear my new groovy shirt.After all the activities, we have a school-wide picnic outside to close out the celebration. There's lots of games, music, andyummy picnic food like fried chicken, pasta salad, and watermelon. This year, they had a huge Velcro wall where you could dress up in a Velcro suit and try to stick yourself to the wall. It was so funny watching my friends get flung off the wall when they couldn't stick! I was able to get my whole body flat against the wall. Sticking to it felt so weird and cool at the same time.Once it starts getting dark, they have fireworks and we all sit on blankets on the field to watch them. The fireworks display is always the perfect ending to an awesome day. Seeing all the bright colors and crazy designs explode in the night sky is just pure magic. My favorite fireworks are the smiley face ones and the red, white and blue shooting stars. The grand finale is always the best part with all the huge, booming fireworks going off one after another. I cheer and jump around with my friends feeling so happy and free.After the fireworks, I'm always exhausted but on a major sugar high from all the treats! I get dropped off at home carrying all my prizes and my tie-dye creation. I can't wait to show my parents everything and tell them all about the best day. Once I'm in bed, I look at my pictures and replay all the fun memories in my head. I dream about all the excitement and festivities continuing on and on.Children's Day is simply the best day of the year for a kid.
