raise与rise在我们中学英语教材中经常出现，因此同学们一定要重点记忆。例如:

因为raise和rise都含有“升高”的意思，所以有的同学就认为它们可以互换，其实它们的用法是有区别的。
1.rise的用法
rise是个不规则变化的不及物动词，过去式为rose，过去分词为risen,反义词为fall。可译作“上升”、“升起”,用于上升的场合。同学们可利用下面的顺口溜帮助记忆：
日、月、云、雾、烟、热气，
起立、起床与起义，
物价、河水、温度计，
皆由rise升上去。 ①The sun was rising when we got to the top of the mountain.
②He rose to welcome.
③The next morning I was the first to rise.
④The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.日出于东而落于西。

2.raise的用法
raise为规则变化的及物动词(其后要跟宾语) ，可译作“举起”“提高”，常用场合可见下面的顺口溜：

第二，经常复习
要合理地安排复习时间。首先要及时复习。遗忘的规律是：前快后慢，先多后少，识记后最初遗忘得较快，以后逐渐减慢。针对这一规律，学习新知识后应及早加以复习。其次在复习中要多尝试回忆，背诵，就是边读边回忆。就像小学生背书一样，读一段，书合起来试着背，背不出来时再看一看。尝试着回忆与识记交替进行，印象会更深刻一些，同时也知道了教材的难点在哪里,复习更有目的性。

1.rise,raise
raise 有提高、增加的意思
rise只是位置上的增高 例如sun就要用rise而不是raise，而salary就要用raise
raise还有另一个意思是表扬
rise也有另一个意思就是起义
raise和rise作为动词最根本的区别是，rise是不及物动词，而raise是及物动词。如， to raise
salaries 提高工资 The sun rises. 太阳升起
这两个词除了提高、升高、抬起等意思外都各自还有其它的用法。
例如 raise 招募：to raise an army 养育、栽培：to raise a family 提出（一个问题）：to raise a
question等等

此外rise还有晋升；顶嘴等意思，
(1)raise vt. “举起，升高”。指把东西升高些或促使某物上升。

(2)rise vi.“上升”，指向上走动或移动，如河水上涨等。

2 advise , suggest
advise与suggest 都可作“建议”讲，二者用法有同有异。
(1) 相同点 都可表示建议做某事， advise与suggest后面都可接名词/动名词/ that从句（should加动词原形，should可以省略）。例如：
他建议（我们）再等一会儿。
He advised/ suggested waiting a bit longer.
