They could actually give athletes an advantage during competition. They are also useful for people who cannot move their arms or fingers easily. The no touch thermometer(体温计) Taking your body temperature usually means putting a thermometer in your armpits(腋窝) and staying still for minutes. It may be easy for you, but it’s an impossible task for little kids. Now, with the new thermometer, users can simply put it 2.5 centimeters from a patient’s forehead and press the button, and it can get reading in two seconds.

By now it was dark, so I had to turn on the yard light—and that’s when I spotted a small bag of potatoes sitting on the porch.That dinner was the best I could remember.We weren’t able to thank our donators, though, because we never found out who had been so generous in helping a struggling young family. Not thinking about yesterday or tomorrow, and just about w hatever’s right in front of you.However, the thing is, we don’t need to be in__transit to be able to approach our days this way. It is possible for me to be living my normal life and be excited for the unknown of the day.I meet new people and do new things every day. Yes, they might be in Santa Monica, a few blocks from my apartment, but what’s the difference between a new person here and a new person in Australia?I read an Alan Watts quote recently, and it goes as follows：“If I ask you what you did, saw, heard, smelled, touched and tasted yesterday, I am likely to get nothing more than the thin, sketchy outline of the few things that you noticed, and of those only what you thought worth remembering... But suppose you could answer，‘It would take me forever to tell you, and I am much too interested in what’s happening now.’”Our generation seems to be eager to expand our horizons(视野). But I agree with Alan Watts. There is a lot of opportunity for horizonexpansion wherever we happen to be.
