Step 2 Preview
1. The teacher asks some questions：

Do you often play with toys?
2. The teacher divides the students into different groups, then ask and answer in groups,
for example: Do you often...?

Step 3 Presentation
1. 新课导人。
The teacher asks the students to look at the pictures of Module 9 Unit 2 Activity 6，then
asks them: Look at Picture 1. What’s it? Do you want to go to the park? Look at Picture 2.
What is it? Do you want to go to the library? ... Look at Picture 5. What is it? Do you want
to visit the Changjiang River?
The teacher puts up the pictures of Beijing, London and New York on the blackboard, then
asks the students：Do you like Beijing? What can you see in Beijing? (the Great Wall, the
Summer Palace, the Tian’anmen Square)
2. Text learning.（课文学习）
(1) Have the students look at the picture of the UN building and ask them: What can you
see? Which place is it? （尽可能让学生试着用英语回答，实在不行也可用汉语来描述）最后教师引导学生说出: There is a big building. There are lots of flags.教师询问学生：Do you want to visit the UN building in New York? Do you want to go inside? T: Boys and girls, open your books. Turn to Page 54. Let’s listen to the tape and repeat Pay
attention to the intonation.

一.全册教材分析：
本学期是小学阶段最后一个学年的开始。六年级的英语学习将以语言知识的巩固和拓展为主，引导学生进入小学学段的复习准备。所以本教材的新单词远不如三、四、五年级多。在拓展方面，本教材介绍了美国的一些相关知识，有纽约、旧金山等著名城市，也有感恩节等外国节目，同时也介绍了长城、大熊猫等与中国相关的知识，让学生既放眼世界，又不忘祖国。
二.教学方法：
1．确定恰当的教学目标。我们在使用本教材时，不要要求学生一学习课文就能“自由地”说出课文的所有内容，甚至不要求学生能“自由地”朗读课文，因为教材中有很多内容只是呈现语言的语境内容，并不要求学生能够“读”。所以我们应根据教学建议来合理地确定教学要求，不宜要求学生掌握教材上的全部文字内容。
2．创造良好的学习氛围。
3．在课堂上尽量使用英语，适当使用汉语。
4．纠正学生的语言错误
5．利用录音带或cd-rom，有效使用现代教育技术

教学模式介绍

本部分由听Goodbye, My friend这首歌曲开始，吸引学生的好奇心，提升学生学习的兴趣，使教学环境自然切换到本文的主题-保持联系的方式。听完歌曲之后，让学生对文本进行琢磨，学习生词，为之后的课程做出准备。
【启发思考】
本部分中，学生通过开动脑筋，小组讨论的方式，整理总结保持联系，进行通讯的方式。过程中，学生可以把答案书写在小黑板或者纸上，教师应检查巩固学生的语法和书写。在教学过程中，教师要注意这些词的介词搭配。
【自主或小组探究】 本环节是整个探究式学习十分重要的环节，篇幅也占比很大。在本部分中，首先通过师生对话和自主探究相结合的方式，学习本课的主要内容，训练学生获取文本信息的能力，培养学生自学的能力。在掌握基本内容之后，学生结合书本上的练习，对本课的重点知识进行操练，进行看图说话等活动，帮助学生巩固所学知识。
