在小学英语中，学生曾学过“--What time is it? --It’s …o’clock.”的句型，且通过前一节课的学习,学生对一些数词和日常行为动作术语及和基本的时间表达法已经有了一定的语感和模仿运用的能力,也能够用简单的What time/When do you…?句式询问或应答日常活动发生的时间。
因此，对于本节课的内容，学生应该有着比较深厚的知识基础。
从年龄特点来看，六年级学生好动，好奇，好表现，希望得到老师的表扬，所以我在教学中抓住学生这一特点发挥学生的积极性、主动性去激发学生学习的兴趣。
虽然学生通过前一节课的学习，有了一定的语言能力，但对于本课未接触过的语言点，尤其是usually, always and never 等表示频度的副词的用法，仍有待教师的指导，综合运用英语的能力还有待进一步的提高。
