B When I was a boy, our extended, immigrant family would sometimes gather at my aunt's tiny house over the summer. Relatives from all over the country would come in to visit. 材料一：“东南”与“西北”是古代中国频繁对举的两个方位概念。
司马迁说：“作事者必于东南，收功实者常于西北。
”这句话凝聚了古人丰富的地理经验。
很多历史文献也描述中国的地理大势为“天不足西北，地不满东南”。
不惟地形，“东南”与“西北”在经济、文化上也呈现出较大的地理差异。
西晋张华《博物志》记：“东南之人，食水之产；西北之人，食六畜产。

”两宋时期，在经济文化重心转移的大背景下，中国人口“东密西疏”的分布格局在南宋即已形成。
