Step 3 Work on 1a

1.Read the instructions to the students. Make sure that each one knows what to do. 2.Let the students look at the sentences in the left column first. Try to explain the four sentences in

English for the students, especially the new phrasal verbs in the sentences.Say to them like this:

Please look at the sentences in the left column. Let’s get the meanings of them.

Let’s see the first one: I’ve run out of it.

Here, “run out of” is a phrasal verb. It means “reach an end of”, “use up” or “become short of”. “I’ve run out of it.” means “I’ve used it up, nothing left”.

3.Explain the other sentences in the same way.

4.After explaining the sentences, read each sentence and ask the students to repeat.

5.Read the instructions again and ask the students to match the sentences with similar meanings.

The teacher can say, “Now match the numbered sentences with the lettered sentences. Write the

letter of one sentence in front of the number of the match-ing sentence. Look at the first sentence.

The answer has been given. It’s Sentence b. Find out the answers to the other sentences.”

6.Check the answers by asking different students to read their matched sentences.

Step 4 Work on 1b

1.Call the students’ attention to the phrasal verbs in the box. Have four students explain each

phrase in their own words. Make sure each student knows the phrasal verbs’ meanings.

2.Then ask the students to read the instructions together.

T: Now let’s make sentences with the words in the boxes. Please look at the sample sentence in

your book. Who would like to read it and explain it in your own words?

3.T: Who can make another sentence with “give away”? Please put up your hand.

Ask two or three students who have put up their hand to say their sentences to the class. Correct

mistakes they may make.

Walk around the classroom as the students write. Offer some help to them if they need. Try to

remember who have made some wonderful sentences at the same time.

4.After all of them have finished writing, choose some students who have made some wonderful

sentences to share theirs with the class. Choose some of the best sentences. Write them on the

blackboard.

5.At last, ask the whole class to work in pairs and help each other. Let them check each other’s

sentences very carefully.

Step 5 Work on 1c, 1d

Work on 1c:

1.Tell students to look at the pictures in 1c. Tell them the boy in the pictures is Jimmy. He’s a good

boy. He likes to help others. What is he doing now? Listen to the tape and number the pictures.

2.Play the recording for the students. Students just listen for the first time. Play the recording again

and give them some time to number the pictures.

3.Check the answers.

Work on 1d:

Let students read the sentences in 1d first. Tell students to listen again and judge the sentences True

or False.

答卷时应注意事项

１、拿到试卷，要认真仔细的先填好自己的考生信息。

一、教材分析：

1、教学内容

本单元是人教新目标版八年级上第二单元阅读部分。主要围绕 “How often do you

exercise”这主题展开各种教学活动，并以这一主题引出 how often和频度副词语法功能。本课时旨在创造一个轻松，愉快的学习，交流环境，通过听，说，读，写来培养学生综合运用这些知识的能力，能准确地用英语来表达。

2、教材的地位和作用：How often do you exercise的是how often和频度副词，这是初中非常重要的语法项目之一。学生们能够用频度副词表达自己业余活动，对于学生来学选择健康的放松方式是很重要的。本课时主要是在前面对语法知识点认知的前提下的语言阅读操练。我们要使学生不仅理解枯燥的语法，还要让学生们会用新学的语法知识来表达思想和感受。

3、教材的处理：根据《英语课程标准》关于总目标的具体描述，结合本单元这部分的教学内容及基于对教材的分析，我对本本课时的内容进行如下处理，将课本的 warming-up，revision，reading，speaking，writing五个部分结合成一个课时。从 exercise导入复习主题。引导学生讨论有益于身心的活动，让学生充分了解话题，激发学生浓厚的学习兴趣。

二、设计理念
