Part Ⅰ Writing

Whether to Attend College at Home or Abroad?

Currently, with studying abroad gains mounting popularity among people, there is a heated

debate about whether to attend college at home or abroad. Opinions on this topic vary from

person to person. Some see more benefits in studying at home while others claim that

studying abroad is a more ideal choice as it's more challenging.

Personally, I am a strong favorer of the latter view. Listed below are the reasons for my advice.

First of all, attending college abroad provides an opportunity to broaden one's experience

and mind. You can acquire cross-cultural experiences and gain new perspectives on your

chosen field of study. In addition, studying abroad helps you to polish your social skills; you

can make friends with different people with different background. Thirdly, overseas studying

Whether to Major in Science or Humanities at College?

Nowadays, as the whole society place increasingly considerable value on

education, the question of whether to major in science or humanities at college

is not only a concern for students, but also a focal point for parents. Some

Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay on the importance of building trust between employersand employees. You can cite examples to illustrate your views. you should write at least 150 words but no more than 200words.

⼀,写作中,字体要⼯整,改卷⽼师在批改四级作⽂的时候,由于任务量⼤,再加上批改时视觉疲劳,不可能对每⼀篇作⽂都看得那么仔细,有时候就凭卷⾯的第⼀印象打分,因此字体美观⼤⽅能提⾼作⽂的分数;

Part II Listening Comprehension (30 minutes) Section A

Conversation 1

M: And now, for the lighter side of the news, Europe is setting an example for the rest of

the world when it comes to food waste.

W: That’s right John. This week the Italian government pass legislation that aims to

dramatically reduce the amount of food wasted in the country. New laws have been put

into place that would make it easier for farms and supermarkets to donate unsold foods to

those who are in need.

M: Yes. And in addition to this, businesses would now be rewarded for successful efforts

to cut food waste.

W: Italy is not the only country to focus on reducing food waste. Just earlier this year, the

European Parliament voted in favor of legislation that would stop grocery giants from

unfair trading practices that result in overproduction, thus creating waste.
