一、教学目标
1.掌握词汇how, weather, sunny, warm, cloudy, windy, cool.
2.掌握句型How’s the weather? It’s ______.
3.学习字母组合ir, ur, er, 和or的发音规律。
4.培养学生在实际语境中用英语正确表达天气情况的能力。
5.使学生在小组活动和师生交流中，激发学生学习兴趣，增强语言综合运用能力，同时使学生在感知天气变化的同时，丰富对气候的认识，培养学生对自然环境的热爱。
6.以教师引导为主的发现探究学习，合作学习及情境学习。
7.通过本课学习有关天气的话题，告诉学生西方人见面时常常喜欢谈论天气，让学生了解中外文化的异同，逐步增强学生对中外文化的理解力。
二、教学重难点
1.学生能够掌握四会词汇：how, weather, sunny, warm, cloudy, windy, cool，以及句型How’s the weather? It’s ______.的正确运用。
2.学生能够在实际生活中灵活运用句型How’s the weather? It’s ______.

Step 1. Class Opening and Review (5min)
1. Sing the song “The Month Song”
【设计意图】
用上节课学过的歌曲开场，使学生在轻松愉快的气氛中进入课堂。
2. Review the words “sun, cloud, rain, wind, snow”by showing the pictures on PPT.采用分组抢答的方式，并对表现出色的同学或小组适时予以表扬。
出示图片后，教师板书学生拼读。
【设计意图】
通过抢答打分的方式，在复习旧知识的同时，激发学生敢于开口说的欲望。
板书拼读环节检验学生拼写的掌握程度。
Step 2. Presentation and Practice (15min)
1.再一次呈现rain 图片，接着展示下雨的情境图片，然后出示单词rainy, 请学生猜一猜rainy 的意思，同时教授单词rainy 并板书在rain 旁边，让学生比较两者的不同。
【设计意图】
从“雨”到“下雨的”图片呈现，很自然地从上节课的名词过渡到本课形容词的学习；要求学生自己发现比较，目的在于培养学生自我发现和探究的能力。
2.在PPT 上将wind，cloud, snow 后加上字母“y”，变成windy, cloudy, snowy, 让学生自己猜一猜他们的意思, 最后提示学生sunny 的正确写法以及不同。
【设计意图】
给学生自主学习的空间，让他们自己发现规律，这样不仅能达到举一反三的效果，而且这种成就感会使他们爱上学习英语。
3.出示不同天气的图片，每幅图片让学生尽可能多地用学过的形容词描述, 教师引导学生说出完整的句子，如第一幅图，学生会说“snowy”, “cold”, 在教师引导下，学生能说出“It’s cold.”It’s snowy.”
4.播放录音，学生反复跟读。
几遍后，学生放下课本，教师拿出图片，让学生用刚学过的句子对图片进行描述。
5.通过rainy, windy, cloudy, snowy 和sunny 的概念引出单词weather，反复跟读。
后引出句型How’s the weather? It’s ______. 【设计意图】
听录音纠正语音语调，之后由输入变为输出，使学生及时巩固所学知识。
Step 3. Production（15min）
1.让学生把书翻到26页，出示下面几个问题，让学生带着问题听录音并跟读。
1）What day is it?
2）How’s the weather today?
3）How’s the weather in December?
4）How’s the weather in July?
2.两人一组练习对话，能力强的学生可扩充内容自编对话并展示，教师给予评价，对表现好的不吝表扬，有欠缺的肯定其优点的同时提出
改进建议。
【设计意图】
给学生创设自我展现的平台，是学生在表演的同时学会了本课内容，展示的过程也帮助学生克服胆怯心理，树立自信心。
3.出示27 页第3 部分图表，以小组为单位组成电视台播报天气预报，各组首先进行讨论，拼读出图表上城市的名称，及其天气的英语表达，然后设计播报形式，采取一人或多人播报的方式用英语向全班介绍各城市的天气情况。
【设计意图】
小组讨论能调动每个学生参与的积极性，同时培养学生的合作意识，天气播报这种新颖的形式也使学生乐于尝试，积极投入。
4.让学生自己读一读第4 部分单词的读音，然后找学生说出“ir, ur, er, or”分别发什么音，最后讨论总结出以上字母组合发音相同。
接着播放录音，学生跟读，并试着用刚学过的字母组合读出“dirty, fur, dancer, world”。
【设计意图】
通过教师引导，培养学生自主发现和学习能力。
Step 4. Class Closing ( 5min)

本节课我们学习了以下知识，请同学们一定加强巩固，以便能和同学们进行灵活交流哦。
重点词汇：how, weather, sunny, warm, cloudy, windy, cool.

学生画出他们自己最喜欢的月份，并用学过的句子描述这幅画。

复习巩固所学知识，提高用英语的能力，将所学知识应用到生活，即学以致用。

过小组合作学习，操练单词，进行看图说话，最后通过让学生在教师指导下解说天气预报，初步培养学生的语言迁移能力及发散性思维。

教学思路：歌曲热身—情景导入—直观新授—多样练习—巩固输出--学科融合，立德树人—作业布置三、学情分析：在上一课中，学生已对snow,wind,sun,cloud,rain天气名词及月份进行了学习，从而为本课的学习打下了基础，减小了难度。
但是四年级学生注意力易分散，所以设计本课时以歌曲、游戏、情景对话让学生真正参与到各项学习任务中，从而到达教学目的。
四、教法与学法：本节课我采用的教学方法有情景教学法，视听法，情景导入，直观讲授，歌曲创编，游戏巩固，同桌互动等有效的教学方法。
学生在情景中听、说、唱、读、演，互动合作学习，在游戏中快乐学习，充分调动学生学习的积极性、主动性和创造性，极大地激发他们学习英语的兴趣。
五、教学重难点：能准确听说读写本课单词，能运用句型How’s the weather today?How’s the weather in...?教学难点：学生在上一课学习的是名词，sun,rain,snow,cloud,wind.本节课在回答天气时用形容词，学生容易混淆。

1．教授rainy、sunny、cloudy、snowy、windy:A、课件出示五幅图片，复习单词snow、sun，cloud、rain、wind。（板书单词）B、Play games，做““change, change , change””的游戏。给rain、sun，snow、cloud、wind进行变身，老师给出例子：snow——snowy，然后让学生说出剩余单词变身后的新单词。（在原有板书的基础上，加“y”或“ny”，用红色粉笔注明，sun、sunny这组词比较特殊，老师要重点指出，以免学生形成机械式的操练，形成错误记忆。
