核心素养测评一 必修1 Unit 1 Friendship(限时35分钟)Ⅰ. 阅读理解AWe have the most friends at the age of 26 after having spent the first quarter of our lives building up our friendship circle, a new research has claimed. The research into friendship shows that our social circle peaks at 26 years and 7 months, at which we typically have five close friends. Women are the most popular at 25 years and 10 months, with men hitting the highest friendship point a little later at 27 years and 3 months. The research, by Forever Friends, shows that about a third of adults meet their closest friends while at school, with about a fifth saying they meet them at work.Social networks such as Facebook and Twitter now also play a major role in building new friendship. The research points out that 25 to34-year-olds make 22 friends via Facebook, compared to 18 to 24-year-olds who make 12, and 35 to 44-year-olds who make just four.Forever Friends’ relationship coach Sam Owen says, “It is no coincidence that over a third of us meet our best friends at school. It is a key time in our lives when friendship is growing through sharing notes, giving gifts, seeing each other regularly and laughing a lot. As adults we can often forget how powerful these small things are and how the little things can make a difference. ”Later in life we find ourselves losing friends. Over half of us lose friendship through moving, while 36% say that over time they grow apart from close pals. Having children also causes 19% to drift away from childhood friends. With growing pressures being put on friendship these days, it’s important to make time for our friendship.【文章大意】研究表明, 我们在26岁时拥有最多的朋友, 但是随着时间的推移, 我们的朋友会减少。

BFor those who think that wealth can come without love, you should reconsider your position. To get wealth, if you believe what you see in movies, seems to mean that you have to give up love because: how can people get wealth if they are afraid to roll over others who stand in their way?I would disagree with this view because I’ve seen a bad example. Several years ago, I knew a man who lost not only his wealth but also his respect, and at last was put into prison for deceiving (欺骗) his customers to make money. He was a man who pretended to care for the well-being of his customers who gave him their trust. He had been a man with good fame for many years, often admired and talked about as a true model of a caring business person. However, all he saw was the opportunity to deceive and make money. But I have also seen the opposite. Some people have got greatwealth too, because they first feel love towards others and start businesses that help meet other people’s growth needs. For example, people like Dale Carnegie, Anthony Robbins and other famous people who devoted their talents and lives to helping other people move forward. And there is also another kind of wealth. Some people love others and their point of view is to help others. These people will get wealth that is not measured in dollars and cents. Instead, it is measured in caring, kindness, and the appreciation and admiration of others who they meet and deal with in their everyday life. They are quiet millionaires of life; millionaires with wealth that is not affected by the ups and downs of the stock market or the cost of daily necessities.【文章大意】本文是夹叙夹议文。

核心素养测评三必修1Unit 3Travel journal(限时35分钟)Ⅰ. 阅读理解A(2020·衢州模拟) Little black taxis, often run-down and falling apart from decades of use, have for a long time been a main feature of Cairo’s chaotic urban landscape. But their days may be numbered, thanks to a new taxi replacement programme aimed at knocking out older, potentially unsafe vehicles. The government-sponsored action, launched earlier this year, allows drivers of taxis 20 years or older, mostly Fiats and Peugeots, to trade their cars for shiny new all-white ones at generous rates of financing. Drivers can choose between five different locally manufactured car models.According to officials, more than 11, 000 brand new taxis, sporting trademark checked stripes on the sides, have already hit the streets of the capital, and they’ve been welcomed enthusiastically bypassengers. Many people say that not only are the new taxis more comfortable, but they also make the streets of Cairo far more presentable. Furthermore, taxi fares have only increased by a small amount. The poor condition of most black and white taxis is almost legendary. Passengers often have to deal with windows and doors that do not open and close, and heavy, thick petrol gases. Air conditioning is unheard of. The new all-white taxis, meanwhile, are cleaner, more fuel-efficient and provide air conditioning on request. Furthermore, all the new taxis come equipped with functioning fare meters, which avoids arguments and sometimes fights with passengers! The government hopes to replace all of the capital’s 40, 000 elderly black cabs soon, but not everyone in Cairo will be happy to see them go. Hotel manager Ibrahim Al-Toukhy says that the old black cabs were weak and run-down, and maybe even a little dangerous, but they were part of the city, and part of Cairo’s character.【文章大意】这是一篇说明文。

核心素养测评四必修1Unit 4Earthquakes(限时35分钟)Ⅰ. 阅读理解AWith the undeniable increase in greenhouse emissions on Earth, there can be no doubt that the earth is becoming warmer, and scientific studies have proven that if we carry on living the way we do, then global temperatures will rise even more.So what exactly does this mean for the future of our planet? Global warming will in fact cause extreme weather conditions, meaning that our winters would be even colder than they are now. More than that, warmer temperatures will lead to the melting of ice in the north and south poles, which in turn will lead to rising sea levels across the globe. This is particularly troubling for low coastal regions and some island countries. In 1 000 years or so, all these places will be flooded underwater. So where will we be able to live? Unless we can find a way to evolve into mermaids and mermen, which doesn’t look promising, the onlysolution is to move elsewhere. There will be little choice left once a large proportion of the land is lost to the sea, and other remaining places will be so hot that it will be absolutely impossible for us to survive. Countries that we consider to be hot these days will be even more so if temperatures increase by 5, 10, even 15 degrees. It is possible, then, that the once frozen poles of the Arctic and Antarctica will be suitable enough to live in, having melted its ice and warmed up.It’s scary to think of our de scendents(后代) struggling to survive in a virtually uninhabitable world. Perhaps if people start to realize how their actions now can have such an impact on future generations, they will change their attitude and start to think more about caring for the en vironment. If not, we’ll be living in a world underwater and will need to think of a way to turn ourselves into mermaids!【文章大意】如果不改变我们现在的生活方式, 地球温度将继续上升, 导致海水上涨, 低海拔地区将被淹没, 其他地区也将热得无法生存, 人们不得不进化成“美人鱼”!1. What about our planet in 1 000 years according to the text?A. There will be more water.B. Winter will become mild.C. Low-lying islands will disappear.D. Sea levels will rise in the polar regions.【解析】选C。

核心素养测评二 必修1 Unit 2 English around the world(限时35分钟)Ⅰ. 阅读理解ASign has become a scientific hot button. Only in the past 20 years have specialists in language study realized that sign languages are unique—a speech of the hand. They offer a new way to know how the brain generates and understands language, and throw new light on an old scientific controversy(争议): whether language, complete with grammar, is something that we are born with, or whether it is a learned behavior. The present interest in sign language has roots in the pioneering work of one teacher at Gallaudet University in Washington, D. C. , the world’s only liberal arts university for deaf people. When Bill Stokoe went to Gallaudet to teach English, the school let him teach a course in signing. But Stokoe noticed something strange: among themselves, students signed differently from his classroom teacher. Stokoe had been taught a sort of gestural code, each movement of the hands representing a word in English. At the time, American Sign Language (ASL) was thought to be no more than a form of pidgin English (混杂英语). But Stokoe believed the “hand talk”his students used looked richer. He wondered: Might deaf people actually have a genuine language? And could that language be unlike any other on Earth? It was 1955. Stokoe’s idea was academic heresy (异端邪说). It is 37 years later. Stokoe—now devoting his time to writing and editing books and journals and to producing video materials on ASL and the deaf culture—is having lunch at a cafe near the Gallaudet campus and explaining how he started a revolution. For decades educators fought his idea that sign languages are natural languages like English, French and Japanese. They thought language must be based on speech, the modulation (调节) of sound. But sign language is based on the movement of hands, the modulation of space. “What I said, ” Stokoe explains, “is that language is not mouth stuff—it’s brain stuff. ”1. The study of sign language is thought to be ______.A. a new way to look at the learning of languageB. a challenge to traditional views on the nature of languageC. an approach to make the grammatical structure of a language simpleD. a try to clear misunderstanding about the use of language【解析】选B。

2021高考浙江版英语一轮复习: 题型组合课时练1 第1部分 必修1 Unit 1 Friendsh

题型组合课时练(一)Ⅰ.阅读理解(2021·浙江省新高考名校信息卷)My dearest son and daughter,The story of New Jersey high school student Rachel Canning suing(起诉)her parents for child support and high school education inspired me to write you a little letter.Let me just put this out there:The only way I expect to see you in a court is as a lawyer or a judge. There are two things about this case that seem to be disaster.First,it's natural for parents and children to argue.I can guarantee that we will disagree. One or both of you will,at some point, scream at the top of your lungs the various ways you hate me.And I won't always like you, either. But I will always love you and do everything I can to keep your best interests as my focus, even when I'm so angry. We are family. That means we are as much a part of one another as the flesh, blood and bones in our body. And we all should think about it very deeply instead of breaking that bond.Second,I'll be honest, no matter how far apart we are on your life choices, your father and I will most certainly pay everything we can for your higher education. But that doesn't mean you deserve it.To be clear, that is a privilege we happily extend(给予)to you—not a right you are born with. And you will have to work hard to earn that privilege.Growing up is hard work.If I do my job properly as your mother—and you do yours as my children—you would sooner get a job or two,and find a way to make your dreams come true than go to trial over what you think you have the right to.Love always,Mom 【语篇解读】本文是一封书信。
