一、教学目标
1. 复习有关身体部位的单词。
2. 能听懂、读懂关于accidents, animals in danger, children of our world等话题的信息。
3. 能读懂简单的英语海报，判断句子的正误，并尝试制作海报传达信息。
4. 能看懂常见的标志牌，并与相应的英语表达正确配对。
5. 运用句子Don’t …提醒、劝告别人遵守各种规则。
6. 复习形容词比较级。
二、教学建议
1. Listen and tick. Find the missing words.听一听，勾一勾，找一找。
Step l 老师借助自己和学生的身体，复习身体部位名称。
Step 2学生打开课本到第50页，在图片的提示下，进一步复习身体部位的英文名称。
Step 3老师播放录音，学生独立完成听音打钩的练习。
Step 4师生共同核对答案。
Step 5学生根据录音，在图片中找出所缺单词，并用句子The missing words are..
说出答案。
Step 6学生将所缺单词mouth, face, hand写在图中人物相应的身体部位。

1、教材编写依据
六年级上册教材依据课程标准二级教学目标要求设计，供小学六年级学生系统学完前6册英语教材后使用。教材编排关注学习过程，凸现以听的方式导入，强调活动与实践，按“理解——识记——学习——掌握——运用”的层次推进，注重复现，体现学习的渐进性和持续性。
2、教材编写内容
《英语》（三年级起点）六年级上册共由1个起始单元、6个学习单元和2个复习单元组成。本册教材主要有School is great fun!、 Big cities、Festivals、Accidents 、Animals
in danger 、Children of our world 六个话题。
教学目标
学生将通过学校生活、城市概况、节假日活动、事故、濒临危险的动物、世界各地的孩子们等几个话题的学习，在语言习得的过程中，1、掌握2百多个重点词汇，50多个重点句型及3首歌曲。
2、能在真实或模拟真实的语境中正确运用并能读懂简单语篇，能模拟范文进行小练笔。
3、帮助学生梳理小学阶段应掌握的四种时态。

学情分析
本册书的教授对象是小学六年级的学生，他们已经学习了三年的老版《Join in》英语教材（即入门、book1、book2）。学生对英语学习有一定的兴趣，并具备一定的英语知识,也具有了一定的自学能力和语言组织能力。学生已经学习了关于数字﹑时间﹑动物﹑颜色等话题的一系列关键单词及有关重点句型表达法以及现在进行时﹑一般现在时的语法结构。这是学生首次接触新版《英语》教材。新版《英语》教材在原有的《Join in》教材的基础上进行大容量的改变，内容更丰富，难度增大，教学要求从听说导入，逐步过渡到运用表达，读、写深入全面推进。新词多、语法点多。新旧版教材之间知识点、语法点缺乏衔接,没有连贯性。从起始单元出现的知识点可见一斑。导致学生出现知识点断层，教师觉得难教，学生觉得难学，学生很难尽快适应新的教学要求。这就要求我们在教学中解决好新旧英语教材教学内容的衔接问题。

As we explore the vast world, we come across many amazing creatures,
but some of them are in grave danger. These animals, known as
endangered species, are facing the threat of extinction due to various
reasons.
One of the main reasons for the decline in animal populations is loss of
habitat. As human beings expand our cities and farms, we encroach upon
the natural habitats of these animals. Forests are cut down, wetlands are
drained, and grasslands are converted into agricultural fields. This leaves
the animals with nowhere to go, and their numbers dwindle.
Another reason is hunting and poaching. Some animals are hunted for
their fur, horns, or other body parts, which are sold for high prices in the
illegal wildlife trade. This not only kills the animals but also disrupts the
balance of nature.
