从新概念青少版StarterA谈小低年级英语的学习 前言 关于怎么学英语，在网上随便查查，或者找个小学以上的学生家长，都能打听出一堆堆道道来。然而，英语的时态、语法知识总共就这么多，考来考去都是万变不离其宗，为什么大家都在学，却总有人成绩高，有人成绩低呢？ 这就要谈到英语的学习方法问题了。所谓正确的英语学习方法，最终目的是要形成英语思维。所谓英语思维，又牵涉到语感，这个不是一朝一夕就能速成的，而一旦形成则能受益终生。
现在的孩子学习英语起步非常早，这点有利也有弊。过早进行错误的学习，形成固定的中式英语思维，将会令英语学习变得事倍而功半。 因此，小学阶段英语的学习并不在于灌输多少语法知识，更重要的是帮助儿童形成英语思维。尤其是低年级的孩子，我们不能急于让孩子死记硬背语法点，尽管那样可能在刚开始的一段时间会暂时领先。 然而，我们也不能滑向另一个极端，就是轻视忽略语法知识，一味强调只要会说、会交流就满足了。任何语言都是由语法规则构成的，忽略了这些语法规则，或者放松对语法规则的要求，不严谨对待语言的学习，必然也是学不好的。 因此，在小低年级的英语教育中，应该将语法融汇于听说读写中，细水长流地给孩子输入。既要提出要求，同时也注重方法。 最近在教新概念青少版这套教材。这套教材是大名鼎鼎的成人版新概念的低龄版，教材的编写难度适中，适合英语作为第二语言的小低年级学生用来打基础。下面就以starter a为例，具体来谈一谈应试英语的启蒙要注意一些什么。 Starter 是新概念青少版的入门级，包括Starter A和Starter B两级，适合6、7岁的孩子（当然，牛娃可以自行选择起跑线，不在讨论范围内）。 下面是我整理出的Starter A的知识点。这里没有专门放“语法”这个选项，语法应该是贯穿于整个学习中，而不是需要单独拎出来背诵的。 从上面这张图来看，会觉得Starter A的知识点教得并不多。 就学这么一点，会不会耽误了孩子？——答案当然是否定的。事实上，功夫要下在这些语法点之外。 打个比方，如果要砌一栋高楼，那么单词就像一个个的砖头，而沙子、土等就是砖头的组成部分。沙子和土怎样才能紧密联合变成一块块砖头，就要涉及到一些最基本的语法知识了。 教材的前5单元除了正常的课文教学外，还特地拎出了26个字母的letter name和letter sound，从第6单元开始学习cvc、元音在silent e前面的读音、双元音组合等等。学习过自然拼读的孩子对这个可能并不陌生。然而，自然拼读的最终目的并不是用10个课时，或者更少、更短的时间去死记硬背那些简单的规则，而是在不断的练习过程中认识音素、分辨首音、尾音、中间音，掌握音素的切割和组合、音节的划分等。这些都是需要帮助孩子培养的能力，而这些能力将贯穿英语学习的始终。 接下来，有了单词这些砖头，怎样把它们砌在一起形成各种各样的形状，也就是组成各式各样的短语和句子呢？这就涉及到更高级的语法规则了。而一旦语法规则能够大部分通过语感来掌握，只需要小部分通过记忆和背诵，学习起来将会非常轻松，事半功倍。 今天想到这么多，就先写这么多。有点虎头蛇尾的感觉。今后陆续呈上Starter B以及1、2级的语法点（3级不需要特意去学，达到2级的能力，可直接衔接成人版了）。 end
