先让学生自己找规律，教师再做总结，有助于培养学生的探索精神。再 通过游戏，让学生感受a在单词中的发音 规律，学生能在玩中学，在学中玩。
作业设计
找出学过的单词中含有字母a且发音为/æ/的单词。

学生们在学习了A部分的单词和句型后，能进行简单的自我介绍，介绍自己的姓名与国籍，但在句中常常忘记在USA与UK前加the，教师在教学中要反复强调、加强训练，操练运用。元音字母a在闭音节中的发音，学生读得还不够准确，要多听多读多模仿。
2.Look and say
（1）教师展示加拿大、美国、英国、中国的国旗，让学生用英语说出相应的国家名。
（2）教师给两名学生分别戴上M ike与Sarah的头饰，扮演Mike的学生手拿一面加拿大小国旗，扮演Sarah的学生手拿美国小国旗，让他们进行自我介绍。

2.播放三年级上册的歌曲“Hello！”，全班学生拍手并跟唱，活跃课堂气氛，以便引出新知。

Unit One Welcome Back to School！单元整体分析本单元是义务教育灵通版（pep）小学英语教科书三年级下册第一单元。
单元主题为Welcome back to school（欢迎回学校），经过一个寒假，同学们刚刚返回学校，这样的主题正好符合他们的生活实际。
在这个单元里，学生们要学习如何来介绍自己或他人的国籍、籍贯、身份等。
本单元共分A、B、C三部分。
A部分共三页，分三课时。
第一课时为情景对话和练习部分。
怀特老师向大家介绍两位新同学。
他们分别是Amy和张鹏，分别来自英国和山东。
通过他们的自我介绍，来引出本单元的重点句型：Hi. I’m Amy. I’m from the UK. 在看一看、说一说练习中，学生通过观察国旗来模仿图中人物进行介绍。
在这课时里，学生初步接触国家名称类单词和主要句型。
第二课时为重点词汇和重点句型呈现，Amy做小老师，给大家介绍四个国家名称，UK，Canada, USA, China，并向大家介绍自己的名字和国籍，再一次出现重点句型：I’m…I’m from…并通过韵句：We are friends. We like to play. 来进一步巩固重点单词和句型。
第三课时为语音学习，通过听一听、读一读，读听圈，听一听写一写三个活动，让学生理解并掌握字母a在单词里发的短音/æ /。
B部分共四页，分两课时。
第一课时仍然呈现情景对话和练习。
琼斯老师在自己的课上同新来的同学Amy进行对话。
首先吴一凡先向老师介绍新同学，从而引出句型This is Amy. She’s a new student. 老师再和Amy进行交流：Where are you from? I’m from the UK. 从而呈现本单元的重点功能句式，询问并回答自己或他人的国籍、籍贯。
第二课时呈现重点单词she, he, student, teacher，并通过 Amy和吴一凡的课上画一画说一说的小游戏，来引出介绍他人身份的句式: This is Amy. S he’s a student. 之后通过一个小韵句来使学生区分使用he和she，并进一步熟悉新授词汇。
