Lesson 14 Are You Short or Tall? 一．教材分析本课是冀教版四年级下册第三单元All about Me第14课，本单元围绕“我”的话题展开，内容有多大年龄、是高还是矮、住在何地、怎样去上学和喜欢做的事情。
本课是在前一课的基础上进行学习的，主要学习如何提问及作答自己及他人的身高。
内容贴近实际生活，语言丰富，便于交际。
二．学情分析四年级的学生具有好奇、好活动、爱表现、善模仿等特点。
经过近一年半的英语学习，学生已经有了一定的英语学习的基础，他们能够借助教师的表情手势等等听懂简单的口语，并根据指令做出正确的反应。
同时结合学生的特点,通过图片,动画等形式可以很好的吸引孩子们的注意力,有助于教学的顺利开展。
其次,运用动手实际测量的活动形式,可以充分调动学生学习的积极性。
三．教学目标知识与技能目标:1、学生能听懂、会说、认读并书写下列词汇:tall2、学生能认读、理解并运用下列基本的句型结构:---How tall are you?---I am ____ metres tall.3、学生将能够测量彼此的身高,并说出某人多高。
情感态度目标:1、能体会到英语学习的乐趣。
2、在小组活动中能与其他同学积极配合,完成身高的测量。
