2 高职英语教学现状
2.1 高职英语教学的实证研究
笔者随机抽样选取了某省份的职业技术学院2012级七个专业学生进行调研,共发放问卷500份,回收问卷500份,有效问卷498份,无效问卷2份,平均年龄为20岁。
对回收的有效问卷进行分析,其中对英语兴趣不高的占15%,他们对英语重视程度不够,对英语学习提不起兴趣。
1/2的学生表示英语学习目标不够明确,对英语自主学习力不够,认为英语学习只是一门考试科目,考试及格就是目标。
1/3的学生表明,在英语学习过程中基础较弱,英语词汇量不够,语音语调存在问题。
通过对调查结果进行分析,可以得出:在高职院校中,学生生源相对复杂(统招生、补招生、三校生),学生学习态度不够明确,英语学习水平较弱,基础差,对英语学习兴趣低,听说读写功能偏低,哑巴英语成为普遍现象。
2.2 高职学校英语教学现状
(1)高职英语教学停留在知识为本层面,精读成为教学的主要模式,职业教育程式化,没有形成学科特色。
以教师为课堂主体的教学中,学生被动接受知识,传统的教学理念和教学方式根深蒂固。
(2)课堂模拟教学环节薄弱。
英语属于应用类教学,语言环境的创造和模拟对于英语学习非常重要。

(3)高职英语教学中教材内容较之社会需求存在差距,英语教学以听说读写译为教学的主要内容,对于高职院校的学生而言,尤其是以技术型学生的教学来说,无法实现与职业的无缝连接,教材的编写有待于进一步提高。
(4)高职院校的英语教师缺乏社会的实践经验,多为毕业直接留在学校,他们无法将社会各岗位对英语的需求,对个体职业素养的需
要全面深入把握,以至于对学生职业素养的培养过于模糊。
这就要求高职院校英语教师自身素质的不断提升和发展。
3 高职英语教学中实施职业素质的培养
3.1 观念更新,渗透职业素质
在英语教学中,学科知识成为英语教育的根本,课堂教学更加关注英语教学语言能力的提升,割裂了语言的内在文化和传达的人文精神。
在高职英语教育中,语言教学和技能的教学是教学重点。
教学中过分追求英语作为语言的规范性和准确性,听说读写多以教师的传授、学生间的模拟、教学课件的仿真等课堂教学内容来巩固英语教学。
对于英语的评价,侧重于英语结果的评价而忽略了过程性评价。
这样的教学方式和评价标准,使学生对英语的学生更加缺乏主动性,限制了学生英语思维的形成和创造力的培养,阻碍了学生的全面发展。
马克思提出的人的全面发展理论,在社会的不断发展中得到更深层次的印证。
英语教学理念也将人(下转第164页)(上接第119页)的全面发展这一理念作为本质性特征提出,集合了人文和工具性的协调统一,使英语教学不再是单一的语言,不再是作为知识进行传授。
教师成为教学中的主导地位,而学生在这一教学过程中,发挥主体作用。
英语作为一门语言,具有工具性的特点,熟练掌握这门语言,有助于帮助人际交往的完成,它在实现交流中起到工具的作用。
而语言又打着文化和精神的烙印,是不同国家文化的体验,通过提升学生的能力提升而实现人的全面发展。
职业素养是人的全面发展的一个分支,只有将这一理念渗透在英语实际教学中,才能有效促进学生职业能力素质的提高,以提升高职教育的内涵式跨越发展。
3.2 注重体验,革新教学内容
英语教育教学中,教学内容的定位与教材之间关系密切。
要立足于岗位本身,选择与职场相近的英语教材,使学生在学习中充分得到体验。
要充分考虑到英语教学的特点,英语在高职院校中推广的难易程度,高职学生的接受力,信息的有效性,教材的趣味性,教材的实用性等等,如果在国家教育部推荐的教材范围内,无法满足高职学生的教学需求的话,可以适当地编纂教材,以供高职学生有针对性地使用,提高学习效率。
根据专业性特点,对于会计专业、商务英语、对外商贸、酒店英语等实用性用于教材可以激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
也可以将应用文文体作为英语教学的内容,比如模拟商务英语场景,掌握通知、邀请函、求职信等内容,这些在学生求职过程和实际工作中都不可或缺。
在编纂教材时,可以引入多方专家,融合教师、企业的需求共同编写教材,这样使教材更具实用性和指导意义,从这个层面上看,有利于高职学生职业素养的培养和提升,促进学生的全面发展。
3.3 多元手段,丰富教学方法
英语教学方法要与时俱进,有效地融合主动式、情景式、任务型教学法的优点,以热点话题作为课堂教学的引入,吸引学生的注意力。
在英语教学中,注重实践教学,因人制宜,根据学生学习英语的个体差异,而采取小班授课制,以增强学生学习英语的自信心。
在教学中,还可以融入现代科技手段,音频、视频、PPT、文字、动画等多媒体技术在英语教学中的广泛应用,有助于提升英语教学的趣味性,扩宽英语教学的广度和深度。
同时还可以进行网络间的资源共享,教学大纲、教案的互相学习,形成网络平台,为学生自觉学习提供渠道。
3.4 教书育人,提升教师素质
教师素质的提升时教育发展的需求,是高职院校质量提升
的关键所在。
教师的工作内容就是教书育人。
英语教师既要有扎实过硬的基础知识,又要有丰富的实践经验,这就要求教师要多接触社会,教师以足够丰富的视角将各行所需渗透在英语教学当中,传授给学生,这是教师的基本师德要求。
与此同时,教师要具备良好的道德素养,要练内功以修身,脚踏实地地做好业务,以高尚的品格影响学生,学生在潜移默化中消化知识点,为实现高素质技术型人才夯实基础。
