American Dream and Chinese DreamToday I want to talk about American Dream and Chinese Dream. I think it has many different between American Dream and Chinese Dream. American Dream mains "Life should be better, richer and fuller, with opportunity for each one", Nowadays, people are looking toward a new American Dream with less focus on financial gain and more emphasis on living a simple, fulfilling life. I don't know what's the Chinese Dream in my impression .It is rich and powerful or rising? I think it is a very difficult questions but I believe everyone has a dream.“More and better, endless……”at first representative of this simple idea of American Dream .Later in the Declaration of Independence will be turned into a solemn statement :All men are created equal, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness "natural rights". “If we can dream it, we can go it.” Aluminum doors on the Florida space center, the Americans planted under this sentence. I seem to understand the differences of Chinese and Americans in the behavior and the concept. Also seems to understand why these two countries after nearly a century of struggle. Her two lovely children sat in a pile of debris of the tricycle. She rode a very tough, but still strived to move forward. In the front seems to have something to attract her. I was shocked. This is the kind of indomitable spirit .What is the dream of this young Chinese woman? These two lovely children is her hope. So an ordinary Chinese people's dream and an ordinary American dream is the same point of view. That is the pursuit of happiness, yearning for a more beautiful life. We know an American named Martin Luther King when we are in middle school. He is the leader of the civil rights movement. His phrase "I Have a Dream" spread around the world. Let the world know the power of the American Dream. The American dream is the hope of dream, the success of dream, the dream of equality, happiness of dream. Our country has experienced vicissitudes for the five thousand years. Had a brilliant also humiliation. But our country has never given up the pace of progress. 二、语料来源及研究方法2.1 语料来源：本研究以中美两国首脑的具有代表性的政治演讲为语料。
中国政治语料的组成为习近平主席近年的大学演讲及新年贺词，共计21772字。
美国政治语料的组成为美国历届总统的就职演说，共计19358词。
以上语料的均从官方网站下载，以确保语料的真实性及可靠性。
2.2 研究方法：首先，分别确定要检索的隐喻关键词。
例如，中文语料中的关键词可为梦想，中国梦等；英文语料中的关键词可为dream, American dream等。
然后运用Antconc检索软件对各关键词检索，进而总结出各隐喻类型和语境信息。
最后，对比两个语料中隐喻的异同来以揭示中美两国在文化、历史、宗教等方面的差异。
三、语料分析通过对两个语料的分析可以发现，关于“中国梦”和“美国梦”的概念隐喻在中美政治语篇中大量存在，汉语语料中的隐喻主要有：旅途隐喻、建筑隐喻、战争隐喻、家庭隐喻、有机体隐喻。
英语语料中的隐喻主要有：旅途隐喻、战争隐喻、建筑隐喻、宗教隐喻、有机体隐喻。
并且，英语语料中特有的隐喻是宗教隐喻。
个别隐喻类型举例如下： 汉语语料：战争隐喻：我们要不断夯实实现中国梦的物质文化基础。

My Understanding of the Chinese Dream
Every person has a dream, so does every nation.
The term “American dream” is used many ways, but it essentially is an idea that suggests that everyone in US can succeed through hard work, courage and determination to achieve prosperity. Many people have expanded upon or refined the definition to include things such as freedom, fulfillment and meaningful relationships. For minorities and immigrants, the dream also includes freedom and equal rights.
The Chinese people also have made their nation’s dream. China Dream has been changed by thousands of years and inspired among different things by the past of three decades of reform and opening-up. The salient features of China Dream include inclusiveness and win-win cooperation.
The “China Dream”, put forth explicitly by Chinese president Xi Jingping on December 29,2012, is to build a prosperous society, realize national rejuvenation, and create better lives of Chinese people. It entails sustaining steady and healthy economic growth, scientifically managing the Chinese society, and responding to risks and competitions among various countries.
These were values held by many early European settlers, and have been passed on to subsequent generations.
It is obvious that the important reasons why American and Chinese Dreams are based on social changes and economic factors. Whether you refer to the phenomenon as an American Dream or China Dream, its meaning is enriched by social, political, and economic developments. From the initial pursuit of freedom, to the pursuit of material, resulting in being successful in the eyes of others, the American Dream and the China Dream are essentially different, but they will achieve the same goal in the end.。
