突出主干知识，注重知识的覆盖面，强化能力考查。单项填空突出了对重点语法、核心词汇等主干知识的考查，每一题都设置了较为清晰的语境，表达相对完整的意义，要求考生在充分理解语境的基础上方能作出正确反应；完形填空、短文填词以考查实词为主，不仅考查词汇运用的正确性，还考查贴切性。阅读理解突出了对学生语篇能力、逻辑思维等能力的考查，所设计的试题涵盖了《考试说明》中有关阅读理解的六个方面的能力要求，重点考核了考生依据文本理解具体信息和作出简单判断与推测的能力。
