五上Unit 5 There is a big bed 单元解读一、单元内容体现的课标理念本单元在英语核心素养的育人价值下进行，围绕单元主题“家具陈设及其位置”展开教学。
本单元学习的主题主要是对家具陈设及其位置进行询问，并用目标词汇和句型进行回答，以及如何描述家具陈设及其位置进行训练。
二、单元信息三、教材分析本单元是人教版英语五年级上册第一单元，主要围绕“家具陈设及其位置”这一话题展开，核心内容是学会询问回答家具陈设及其位置的问题及描述。
整个单元主要通过2 个对话语篇和1 个阅读语篇，逐步引导学生学习重点词句，能够在真实生活情境中运用所学知识点，同时实现情感价值观的引导作用，能够使用目标语言对家具陈设及其位置进行描述，养成良好的生活习惯。
本单元学习分为主情景图和ABC三个部分。
主情景图通过几个孩子参观张鹏家的情境，呈现本单元要学习的部分核心词汇和句型，主情景图可以用于导入话题，引导学生了解本单元的主要内容，也可用于引入、巩固AB部分各板块的教学，还可用于本单元语言学习后的复习与评价。
A部分第一课时有针对本单元核心句型There be…. 而设计的听的活动，旨在使学生能够借助提示词及问题听懂简短对话，抓住关键信息提高听的能力;教材通过Sarah 和Mike参观张鹏卧室的情景，让学生感知上述句型的语义及语用情景；第二课时学习的单词是bike, clock, photo, water bottle, plant。
教材通过张鹏介绍自己房间内物品的情境，呈现了单词的词形和意义；并要求学生能够在滚雪球的游戏中，掌握并正确使用核心单词和句型，进一步强化单词的音、形、义，提高课堂学习的趣味性；第三课时分为Read，listen and chant；Listen，read and circle以及Look，listen and write三部分，第一部分呈现了常见的字母组合ai/ay在单词中的发音规则，并通过吟唱歌谣强化发音规律; 第二部分通过听录音，完成圈单词、读单词的活动，帮助学生进一步感知并巩固ai/ay的音形对应关系，第三部分则通过听句子写单词活动，帮助学生按照发音规则拼写单词、辨认词形，学习在单线上规范书写英文句子。
