一、设计思路 这是一篇有关英国“巨石阵”的阅读，课文的编写要求学生能够在阅读中体会连词的用法，能够理解连词对文章逻辑构成所起的作用。所以在教学中，我在帮助学生获取信息和理解文本的同时，有意识地让学生运用连词构建自己语言的逻辑关系。本次阅读始终围绕mystery来展开，用mystery导入，与学生互动，激发学生对话题的兴趣，再展开阅读的教学活动。读中活动我采用了问题和mind-map的形式来帮助学生更好地理解课文，因为本文生词较多，所以为了帮助学生更好地理解，我采用了图文结合的方式，让学生一目了然，在阅读的过程中清除了生单词带来的阅读障碍。最后的读后活动为是为了让学生达到以读促写的目的，由于时间的限制，所以采用了小组内分组合作填关键词再分享信息的方式让学生完成对兵马俑的介绍。在这一过程中，不仅可以使用我们学的写作逻辑，应用学过的连词，还可以达到在日常教学中实现学生逻辑思维的培养。Further thinking进行最后的情感升华，引导学生要像先辈们一样做努力又有计划的人。
二、学情分析
1. 教学内容分析：本文材料选自人教版九年级第八单元，本单元的主题是用根据已知情况进行推测，培养学生的逻辑思维能力。本次课文以Stonehenge为话题，一方面让学生在阅读中理解连词起到的逻辑作用，另一方面也用已知的事实对巨石阵的修建目的做出推测，引导学生进行思考，提高学生对语言的综合运用能力。
2. 学生情况分析：本节课的授课对象是九年级的学生。通过两年多的英语学习，学生不仅具有了一定的英语基础知识和听说读写能力，也适应了课堂上中一些合作探究的活动。初三的同学相对于初一初二视野更加广阔，逻辑推理能力更强，想象力更丰富，所以在我读后活动中的设计中，结合他们在历史课上和课外学到的一些知识，以此来丰富我们的课堂。
三、教学目标
1. 语言能力目标：学生通过阅读中各项小组活动，能够选择适当的情态动词和连词表达观点。
