1A painter hangs his or her finished pictures on a wall, and everyone can see it.A composer writes a work, but no one can hear it until it is performed.Professional singers and players have great responsibilities, for the composer is utterly dependent on them.A student of music needs as long and as arduous a training to become a performer as a medical student needs to become a doctor.Mosttraining is concerned with technique, for musicians have to have the muscular proficiency of an athlete or a ballet dancer.Singers practice breathing every day,as their vocal chords would be inadequate without controlled muscular support.String players practice moving the fingers of the left hand up and down, while drawing the bow to and fro with the right arm—two entirely different movements.Singers and instruments have to be able to get every note perfectly in tune.Pianists are spared this particular anxiety, for the notes are already there, waiting for them, and it is the piano tuner’s responsibility to tune the instrument for them. But they have their own difficulties;the hammers that hit the string have to be coaxed not to sound like percussion, and each overlapping tone has to sound clear. This problem of getting clear texture is one that confronts student conductors:they have to learn to know every note of the music and how it should sound, and they have to aim at controlling these sound with fanatical but selfless authority.Technique is of no use unless it is combined with musical knowledge and understanding.Great artists are those who are so thoroughly at home in the language of music that they can enjoy performing works written in any century.

It is concerning the history and culture of china鼓励人们学习英语很好的中国;中国政府采取措施增加对儿童的基础教育英语课程;但是,另一方面,我不同意中国应该建立英语作为官方语言;毕竟,中国是我们民族的语言;这是关于中国的历史和文化Unit 6 Man and Animals1. why do animals and people become aggressive or angryIf, however, an animal finds itself in abnormal conditions, it may show abnormal aggressiveness.Animals in zoos are kept in cages and often become more aggressive than they would be in the wild.Living conditions in crowed cities, they say, are similar to those of animals in a zoo and make the inhabitants unusually aggressive. 2. the right relationship between men and animals. While it is only natural that humans eat meat from those animals, because that's part of the food cycle... Are we abusing the animals by rearing them, making them grow up and all that, eventually slaughtering them to fill our stomachs Is it necessary to do so Can we survive without meat, only subsisting on vegetarian foods The answers are notAnimals should figure into the lives of humans, and humans into theirs.the promotion of animal rights. human beings are much more advanced in intelligence than animals. animals are lack of the qualities to own the animal rights, while human beings deserve much more rights compared to animal. Therefore, they also have the obligations to treat animals around us well. we need laws to punish those who mistreat animals. Some people regard animals as a kind of resource on the earth. I think we should evaluate this view critically. In the last analysis, we are creatures too. We need energy too, So, I am against the idea of absolute vegetarianism. Some other animals are used in the scientific experiment. I think it’s very hard to say whether it is good or not. But I want to point out two things. First, condition permitting, used the animals as less as possible. Second, do not mistreat animal during the process of experiments. As human beings, we needn’t apotheosize ourselves. We need animals as food or something else. On the other hand, we should not deny our obligations either. We shouldn’t mistreat animals. 3. ways animals are used by man. Should animal products be bannedSome people regard animals as a kind of resource on the earth. I think we should evaluate this view critically. In the last analysis, we are creatures too. We need energy too, So, I am against the idea of absolute vegetarianism.many farmers put five hens whose wingspan length is about 32 inches each into one cage which is only 51 inches long. And they will be exposed to bright light all day in order to lay more eggs. And it is even impossible for these hens to move all its life. They are treated like machines. This action is undoubtedly the mistreatment of animals and should be banned. Some other animals are used in the scientific experiment. I think it’s very hard to say whether it is good or not. But I want to point out two things. First, condition permitting, used the animals as less as possible. Second, do not mistreat animal during the process of experiments.Still some animals are used in the show or hunt game for human’s fun. For example, some British hunt foxes in a certain hunt zone just for fun which has arouse the world’s attention.I think we should take measures to stop games or show like this.NO. humans are animals. and animals do use any means possible to make it easier for them to get food. humans are also following the same animal trend of thought when thinking of ways to save them the trouble of having to go forage and hunt for what is so non-animal about breeding animals for foodand if people dun breed animals for food, you will run out of wild life pretty fast一些人把动物作为一种地球上的资源;我认为我们应该评价这一观点的批判;在最后的分析中,我们的生物也;我们需要的能源,因此,我反对绝对的素食主义;许多农民把五只母鸡,它的翼展长度约为32英寸,每到一个笼子里,只有51英寸长;他们将被暴露一整天的明亮的灯光为下更多的蛋;它甚至不可能将所有这些母鸡的生活;他们像对待机器;这一行动无疑是对动物的虐待和应该被禁止;其他一些动物被用于科学实验;我认为说它是否是好或不好,很难;但我想指出两件事;首先,条件允许的情况下,使用尽可能少的动物;第二,不虐待动物实验过程中;还有一些动物被用于显示或找人的有趣的游戏;例如,一些英国狩猎狐狸在一定的狩猎区只是为了好玩,已引起世界的关注;我认为我们应该停止游戏或显示这样的措施;人类是动物号;和动物一样用任何可能的手段使他们更容易获得食物;人类也遵循同样的趋势时,认为动物想拯救他们不得不去的食物有什么非动物饲养动物为食的牧草和狩猎的麻烦的方法吗如果人们墩养殖动物的食物,你会很快的野生生活Unit 7you dream to visit.Denmark, the beautiful country in the in the Scandinavian region of northern Europe. When I was young, I often read Andersen stories, like The Emperor's New Clothes, The Little Mermaid, and The Ugly Duckling. I want to visit the Andersson's House. It was built in 1905 in honor of Andersen. and I wanted to see its capital, Copenhagen哥本哈根 and visit the bronze of Little Mermaid, the Round Tower, the Tivoli Gardens蒂沃利公园 which is the dreaming world of many girls ,and the Store Baelt Bridge大贝尔特海峡大桥 that is one of the longest iron rope bridges in the world. and the yummy food. Whether a short trip between neighboring towns or a long jaunt across the countryside, there are a few things you should keep in mind when attempting train travel in China.Train Travel in China has four different travel classes. Hard Seat is the most common and cheapest way to trave. The greatest numbers of Chinese travellers use this class, and more tickets than seats are sold so only the very quick are assured a seat. Soft Seat is a better way to travel and most of the time you can reserve a seat. These are the best for city to city or fairly short distance train travel in China. Hard Sleeper are for long journeys, and not for the novice traveler. With a Soft Sleeper you upgrade to a room with an actual door. Not to mention a fairly decent bed, though you are usually on your own for food. This is the preferred way for many to experience China rail travel. For me, traveling by train means that you have to sit on your seat still, never expecting to go for a walk in the aisle or go to the WC. You have to sit on your seat, keeping the same gesture and taking to the one next to you only in order not to disturb the men sitting in the aisle. And we can easily get tired and become sleepy because of being still and the low-Oxygen air. However, you will suffer more if you want to take a sleep. It is really uncomfortable to lie on or bend over on something. And you will always be woke up by the noise, temperature or speed of the train.②Many people prefer to travel by air. This is because air travel has some advantages. In the first place, airplane, the miracle created by man, is the fastest means of transport. It takes the least time for one to travel by air from one place to another. Secondly, traveling by air is convenient and comfortable. Friendly air hostesses are affectionate and considerate. They look after passengers all the way to their destinations. Moreover, on long distance flights there are films and music for people to entertain themselves.Everything has two sides. The same is true of air travel. It has some disadvanges, too. For one theing, air travel costs a great deal. The average Chinese are not rich enough to afford expensive air fares. So they prefer to take trains, which save a lot of money. For another, although passengers are assured of their safety, they are still worried about it during the journey because flying always involves more or less risk.As far as I am concerned, the advantages mentioned above exceed the disadvantages. IF I were given choc=ice between travelling by air and travelling by train,I would certainly prefer the former. For me, time is money and it is the most important thing I have to take into consideration whatever I do.③bus travel is limited to the distance. Few people will travel long distance by bus. It is a waste of time, and it is uncomfortable.①中国铁路旅行通常是微风,列车运行时间和覆盖网络包括几乎任何你想去的地方;是否邻近的城镇和农村的跨越长短途旅行之间的一个短暂的旅行,有几件事你应该记住,当试图在中国乘火车旅行;火车在中国旅行有四个不同的旅游类;硬座是旅游的最常见和最便宜的方式;中国游客人数最多使用这个类,销售超过座位只有很快向一座的票;软座是一个更好的方式去旅行,大部分的时间你可以预定一个座位;这是最好的城市或相当短的距离,在中国乘火车旅行;硬卧是长途旅行,而不是旅客的新手;用软枕您升级到一个实际的门的房间;更不用说一个相当不错的床,但你通常在你自己的食物;这是很多经验,中国铁路旅行的首选方法;对我来说,坐火车旅行,意味着你必须坐在你的座位还是,没想到走在过道散步或去WC;你要坐在座位上,保持同样的姿势,以一只为了不打扰的人坐在你旁边的过道;我们可以很容易累,成为困因仍然和氧低的空气;然而,你会更想睡觉;这真是躺或趴在什么地方不舒服;你总是会醒来的噪音,温度和速度的火车;②许多人愿意乘飞机旅行;这是因为空中旅行有一定的优势;在第一个地方,飞机,人类创造的奇迹,是最快的交通工具;它需要一个旅行的空气从一个地方到另一个最少的时间;其次,空中旅行方便和舒适;友好的空姐深情体贴;看看他们的乘客到他们的目的地后;此外,在长途航班上有供人娱乐,电影和音乐;任何事物都有两面;空中旅行也一样;它有一些缺点,太;一上,空中旅行费用高;普通中国人还不富裕,昂贵的机票;所以他们宁愿乘火车,这样能省下许多钱;另一方面,虽然乘客保证他们的安全,他们仍然担心在旅途中因为飞行或多或少的风险;就我而言,上述提到的优点超过缺点;如果给我巧克力=冰之间的空中旅行和乘火车旅行,我宁愿选择前者;对我来说,时间就是金钱,最重要的是我必须考虑我无论做什么;③旅游巴士有限的距离;一些人将乘公共汽车长途旅行;这是浪费时间,这是不舒服的;3. benefits of traveling.I am always interested in traveling.traveling increases our knowledge. Only by traveling can we see 因为用only开头,主动词须颠倒things outside our home town.traveling is good to our health. When a company is listedon the stock market, it can raise funds, which can be used to promoteits development. When many promising companies offer their shares tothe public, a huge amount of money can be collected, which will boost the growth of the national economy. However, in a bear market most stocks depreciate , andmany investors lose money. Worse still, some companies make falsefinancial reports to cheat the public, which make the public lose more money .An unhealthy stock market is harmful to the country.888888888Do you think most people today will put their money in banks, the stock market or real estate? Why? It seems to me that most Chinese are traditional, and they like to put their money in the bank . It is true that bank interest rates are low. However, deposits in banks are safe. You can be almost in the 1990s, many Chineseseldom enter the stock because the stock depreciate easilyThe real estate【房地产】 market was hot, or rather overheated.NOw, the government publishs regulations to discourage The real estate .Soperhaps some funds will pull out of the real estate market and move to the banks . Generally speaking, I think most Chinese prefer to save their money in banks for guaranteed returns.。

Do you think “we all have a responsibility to be safe”?There is no denying t hat that safety plays an important part in our daily life. Recently our school has carried out a program aiming at increasing our safety awareness. I consider this as indeed a good practice, which will remind us that safety should always come first in our daily life, whether when we stay at school or outside it. For example, when we are doing sports, we should attach great importance to safety and avoid being hurt. Besides, we should follow the traffic rules when we are going to school or when we are on our way back home. I firmly believe that we should develop a good sense of safety and do everything safely. What What measures measures measures have have have been been been taken taken taken to to to prevent prevent prevent driving driving driving infractions infractions like drunk driving and speeding in China? Driving infractions cases have been increasing and have caused numerous deaths. A more severe punishment should be given to those who drive after they have drunk, especially to those who are drunk and have caused serious injuries or deaths while driving.In order to crack downdriving infractions, the government should introduce a more severe law. Besides, more measures should be taken to cultivate the drivers’ awareness of traffic laws and respect others’ lives as well as their own rge gatherings are usually peaceful but sometimes turn unruly with deadly consequences. Here are my suggestions to take precautions against stampede, on the one hand, we must behave in a civilized manner, when many people are not crowded, not booing, not create tension or panic. On the other hand, if into the crowded, you must first stand firm, the body will not inclined to lose focus, even if the shoes have been trampled out, don't stoop to pick up the shoes or shoe laces. Only in this way can we keep away from stampede. What should you do to avoid being assaulted when walking in the dark alone On the one hand, be fully aware of your surroundings. Keep an eye on what is going on around you at all times so that you can better detect suspicious activity and protect yourself and your belongings. On the other hand, determine whether you are in danger. If you are walking down the street and suspect that you are being followed, don't be afraid to look behind you and find out for sure. If possible, look the person directly in the face; this lets them defend that you are fully aware of what's going on and that you can and will yourself in the event of an attack. Smart phone plays an important role in our life. More and more people become addicted to phubbing in recent years. What risks could be brought to you if you are a phubber? Nowadays, we can see many people are watching their mobile phones in subway, restaurants, elevators, roads and so on. However, phubbing disturbs not only our study but also our life. On the one hand, phubbers waste lots of time playing cell phone games and sending messages, particularly in class. Other people also complain they are disturbed when phones ring in classrooms. On the other hand, it can lead to health problems. For instance, using a mobile phone on the sofa can cause back and neck pain. In a word, only when we use the phone reasonably, can we realize the happiness of life. How to avoid being infected with infectious diseases like flu/AIDS/hepatitis (肝炎) virus? By making a few simple behavioral changes, you can easily prevent the spread of many infectious diseases. First of all, don't share personal items. Toothbrushes, towels, handkerchiefs, and nail clippers can all be sources of infectious agents. Besides, get vaccinated. Your immune system is designed to have a “memory” of previous infections. When your body encounters a microbe that has previously caused an infection, it enhances its production of white blood cells and antibodies to prevent infection a second time. Finally,Infectious diseases can easily be picked up while traveling,make sure to use a safe water source and eat food that have been cooked. What kind of people are the potential victims that criminals prey on to steal or rob in public places? Tourists are oftentimes targeted by pickpockets because they tend to carry lots of cash on them and are usually unfamiliar with their surroundings,If you are traveling in an unknown city, try to get directions to your destination prior to leaving the hotel you are staying at. Besides,People who are visibly distracted by their cell phones become easy targets for pickpockets and other c riminals, just because they can’t detect suspicious activity. The best chance of defending yourself in the event of an attack is to identify the attacker as soon as possible. 。
