比拟口语的beefcake或者masculined guy。不过大家还是要注
意，多积累一些这样的文化、文学类知识储藏，以便在翻译时能做
到信手拈来，传神出彩。
matchless一句：这句话的翻译使用了逆向思维，这在中很常
见，比方：
这事决不可能是他干的。
应译成He is the last person to do such a thing.
elastic force：弹力，不会的亦可译成spring
force/bounce，实在不会，可以换成strength，当然这就要失分
了。
tenacious：持久的，也可换成ever-lasting或者long-
lasting。一般像这样简单的合成词在翻译中往往能派上大用场。
debris：注意，末尾的s是不发音的，但是拼写的时候千万不
要漏掉。
potted plants：盆栽。一些普通的日常中的名词，大家可能会
忽略，翻译中遇到时才恍然发现不会表达。这一类词语要多加注
意，不要只将注意力集中在名词上面。
