首先我们要正确认识自我，对自我不能估计过高，认为自己是最完美的。也不能对自己估计过低，用自己的短处和别人的长处比，陷入痛苦之中。这两方面都会使人丧失适合自我发展与成功的机会。我们要学会从多方面、多渠道了解自己，学会从周围的世界中提取有关自我的真实反馈，避免由于自己的主观理解带来误差。
人无完人，每个人难免存在一些不足和不完善的地方。要悦纳自我，既要肯定自己的优点，又要接纳自己的缺点，给自己一个良好的心境投身到教育教学改革之中，不断接受新事物，不断提高自我修养，这样才能永保激情，才会成功而快乐。
其次热爱生活，释放压力。 压力是影响心理健康的主要因素。过度的工作压力，使人产生生理、心理以及行为失调反应。 从心理学的角度来看，人的心理压力要定期或不定期地释放，来求得心理平衡。教师长期在教学的精神压力下，也需要寻找释放的途径。情绪的宣泄可以从“身”和“心”两方面着手。“心”的方面可在适当的环境下找人倾诉，将心中的烦恼向亲朋好友诉说，会使人感到心理轻松。或者在适当的环境下放声大哭、大笑或给自己写日记。“身”的方面如剧烈的体力劳动、纵情高歌、逛街购物等，还可以出门旅游，在大自然中陶冶自己的性情。
最后也是最重要的一点就是用一颗平和、快乐的心看待一切。

在课堂上的教学，我采取的是教会学生音标，用音标知识来拼读每个单元的新单词；对于简单的对话，我实行当堂课就能背诵并过关，有部分学困生对课文对话不能朗读时，在课余时间我们采取的是一对一帮扶对子的方式，让优生来教学困生当天所教的对话，教会后，再进行操练。
在第二堂课时，我会再次抽这部分学困生来朗读上次课的对话，及时了解他们的学习情况，掌握一对一帮扶小组的进展情况。
因为我采取的是小组合作的形式，所以评价是一个很好的武器。
只要一对一的优生与学困生在一个单元的学习后，双方都有进步或收获，就及时在班上作出表扬；对于没有多大进展的帮扶小组，要耐心并认真地跟他们沟通，分析问题出自哪里？并及时正确地作出调整，让他们都有信心把帮扶小组活动坚持下去。
在课堂上，抽帮扶小组的中部分学生，让他们互相比较哪个帮扶小组更出色，更优秀，这样让他们愿意说，抢着说，那你还怕他们没兴趣吗？这样既提高了学生的兴趣又增强了他们的团队合作意识。
其实，我还在教学中把课文的情景与生活相结合，鼓励他们将每日的衣食起居都用上我们在课文中所学的英语，这样达到日积月累的目的；此外，我还用英语格言来励志，用幽默故事来调动孩子们的兴趣。
