当宾语从句由陈述句充当时，用从属连词that引导，它在句中无实在意义，在从句中不能充当成分，在口语中往往省略。
当宾语从句由一般疑问句充当时，用从属连词whether或if引导，它们在从句中的意思是“是否”， 不作句子成分。
注意：与不定式连用，做介词的宾语从句为选择疑问句或与or not连用时要用whether。
