After reading the passage about sharks ,students can learn reading skills and improve their reading level .Learn the skills from the passage like promoting a problem, analyzing the problem and solving it.

After reading the passage,make the students understand that saving the sharks is saving human beings themselves.Develope the sense of protecting our nature.

Step I Warming up & Pre-reading
Show students pictures about the earth. Say that the earth is badly polluted.
What should we do to save the earth? Make a mini survey by asking students questions showing some pictures to help.

Task 1. Read the whole passage quickly and find out the answers to the questions.

一.Analysis of the students` learning condition(学情分析)九年级学生在心理方面相对比较成熟,思维也非常活跃。
虽然已经掌握了一定的英语基础,但是部分学生学习兴趣不高。
教学活动中尽量让他们参与到活动中来,创造更多的机会,鼓励他们多说英语,树立学好英语的自信心。
因此在教学中我不光注重知识的传授,还重视培养学生的学习兴趣。
二.Analysis of the teaching material(教材分析)Section A 3a版块是阅读任务。
3a 的阅读是一篇倡议书,其中介绍了人类捕捉鲨鱼获取鱼翅,破坏生态平衡的情况,文章紧扣单元话题,呼吁人们保护鲨鱼,渗透了对学生的情感教育。
3a的阅读任务是要求学生阅读文章,根据文章内容填写表格,目的是考察学生对文章细节的掌握。
