2、话题解读本单元话题为外貌描述（Appearance）。
教师可以较多地创设情境,让学生运用基本句型“ What does he / she look like？”“ He /Sheis …“ He /She has…”来进行操练。
“如广播寻人”的情境创设，通过简要描述人物的外貌特征，让学生获得信息并查找此人。
3、难点分析（1）look like：大多数学生只知道like的一个意思是“喜欢”，而不知道另一个意思“像”，因此在理解和运用上有难度。
（2）has big eyes：动词have的第三人称单数形式has容易和be 动词is的用法混淆。
（3）信件的形式的阅读文本给学生增加了新奇感，同时也存在视觉上的难度挑战，学生要能读懂信件的寄信人、收信人和大概内容，需要教师点拨才行。

2、难点：单词round的发音和round face的运用是词汇中的难点。
词组难点是look like的理解和has big eyes。
前者是因为大多数学生只知道like的一个意思是“喜欢”，而不知道另一个意思“像”，因此在理解和运用上有难度，而后者是因为动词have的第三人称单数形式has容易和be动词is的用法混淆。

操练时间应不少于3分钟。
2.学生上台进行对话表演，教师给予评价。
评选“优胜组”，加两颗星;还可以评选“勇气可嘉组”“语言流利组”，分别加一颗星。
教师应根据学生不同的现场表现，给予不同的、有针对性的、有创意的评价，激发他们口语表达的兴趣和欲望。
