Dr. Jane Goodall, a scientist who’s the world’s best-known expert on wild chimpanzees, has been whole-heartedly committed to environmental protection.
Each one of us is very important. Each one of us has our own responsibility to take. A small action will lead to a huge change especially when everyone works together.
They should turn off the tap while they brush their teeth.
They should turn off the light when they go out.
They should pick up litter whenever possible.
Only by acting together can we ask thousands — millions — of people to take action to create change and influence the change that is needed in our communities and our world.

In 1991, local youth gathered on Jane Goodall’s front porch in Tanzania and expressed how they felt powerless against the门p廊roblem坦s 桑in尼th亚e world around them. As the students told stories and offered ideas, Jane realized the solution was right in front of them: their power to create change. Roots & Shoots was born.
