Blue eyes like those belonging to sexy star Angelina Jolie are the most appealing colour according to
a poll of 3,000 18 ～24 year olds by FreshLook One Day Colour.Angelina，her partner Brad Pitt and
his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston all have blue eyes and have all been named in a top twenty of the
world’s most desirable eyes.
The survey found that young folk with blue eyes are generally seen as being more sexy and kind.
And when asked if they would change the colour of their eyes if they could，only one in ten blueeyed
people wanted to—significantly less than people with other colour eyes.
One in three people who didn’t have blue eyes wanted a change.
One quarter of respondents have considered wearing coloured contact lenses to change their eye
colour tempor arily and blue is most wanted colour.
Green was the second most popular colour for those wanting a new look，with respondents saying
green-eyed people were usually mysterious and creative.
People with brown or hazel eyes were perceived to be more trustworthy than people with other eye
colours.
People with grey eyes were generally thought to be more intelligent than other people，and they were
also described as usually being shy.
Blue was the most common eye colour among respondents，with 41 percent of those who answered
the survey having baby blue peepers and 39 percent having brown or hazel eyes.
The survey also found that 18 percent of people don’t know what colour eyes their partner has!

Some young Cambodians are learning a new sport---skateboarding. The country’s first skateboard
park is located on the grounds of local charity group at the edge of Phnom Penh, the capital.
Sports like Khmer boxing and soccer are wildly popular in Cambodia. But Chea, who has been
skating for 6 months, says skateboarding has already become the favorite sport.
The skateboarders are learning tricks like launching a jump or flying through the air on their narrow
wooden boards.
A non-governmental organization called Skateistan Cambodia organizes weekly programs at the
park. Skateistan started its work in Afghanistan years ago. Rory Burke is working with the group
which expanded to Cambodia last year.
Rory Burke points out, “Yeah, it’s definitely not a typical Cambodian pastime .and I think the idea
of ‘why skateboarding’ exists because it’s not been done before here. We want to use
skateboarding as something saying, ‘ Hey, this is something new and different.’ And that kind of
itself becomes a little bit of hook. People see it and they think and they say, ‘wow, what is that?’
and they want to get involved.”
Skateistan partners with local groups work with young people . The park is on the grounds of the
group known as PSE, where children attend school and learn a trade. There are almost one hundred
twenty participants. They all from troubled lives.
Seventeen-year-old Sang Rotha is a student at PSE. “Sometimes I don’t do well in subjects like
math,” he says, “ I feel bad when I find it hard to keep up with my lessons. So that is why I
skateboard to improve my bad feelings.”

Beginning college is exciting: new ideas to explore, new challenges to be met and many decisions to be made. Your future
begins here.
However, you will find college life is different from your previous school environm
ent. Many of us can be easily overwhelmed(压垮) by the details of running a well-balanced life. While some of us may have the know-how, I guess there are more of us who can benefit from learning about the experiences of other who have walked the college halls before you.
The following you may find of use about life on campus.
Plan well. There are so many new things to do at a new college or university, social and academic(学术的). Give yourself time to make new friends and become familiar with the campus, but don’t forget why you are there. Give some time for social activities and manage your time wisely. If you don’t have a “system” for planning your time now (like a day time, a computer date book), get one. Most of all, don’t depend on your memory.
