旗袍（Cheong-sam），被誉为中国女装的代表，在中国传统服饰文化中占据着重要地位。它最早可以追溯至清朝的满族(Manchu) 女性服饰，二十世纪30年代经过现代改良而达到顶峰。旗袍可用不同材料制成，长短不一，可在平日穿着，也可在正式场合穿着。旗袍既可以体现女性的端庄美丽，又可以展示她们婀娜多姿的身材，因而得到广大女性的喜爱。难怪它不仅受到中国女性的喜爱，也受到外国女性的青睐。

The Cheong-sam can be made of different materials and to varying lengths, and it can be worn either on casual or formal occasions.
