在第一课时中，主要是用动画的方式给学生们呈现出一个一般过去时的语境，语境中Binbin, Lily, Joy, Bill一起谈论他们上个周末做的事情，用声音和图像相结合的方式让孩子们在动画中感受一般过去时里面动词词缀ed在单词中的发音规律。
语境给出后孩子们再通过listen and tick以及let’s chant的内容巩固一般过去时动词的变化及用法。
本课时内容生动有趣，符合本年龄段学生们的兴趣特点。
学情分析：本班学生英语已经有了一定的基础，大部分学生的整体水平比较平均，学习习惯良好，学习积极性较高，能较好地完成任务。
不少学生在学习上思维活跃，勇于克服学习上的困难，有较好的学习习惯。
