这节课运用了交互式电子白板下列功能：①平面图形组合功能②多媒体视频播放功能③拖拽和遮挡功能④拖动克隆复制功能⑤智能笔画线、画圈功能⑥超链接功能⑦聚光灯功能⑧文本显示和隐藏功能⑨倒数计时器功能⑩普通笔文字书写功能。
白板这些功能的巧妙运用，根据教学设计不仅凸显了重点，更突破了难点；不但激发了学生的学习热情与好奇心，引导他们主动学习，而且创设了学生乐于学习的情境，改善了教学环境，使他们自始至终注意力高度集中英语学习与活动。同时，学生也享受着这些神奇功能带来的乐趣，高效完成了“a body, a leg, an arm ,a wing, a tail, no”等单词、句型“It has… They have…”的理解和运用。避免了一些机械式的操练。英语教学内容更具体、更生动，使人如身临其境，学得轻松愉快，有乐趣；理解更加深透，印象更加深刻。教师多方位多形式地展示教学内容，引发学生的积极参与，更好地促进学生与白板之间、学生之间、老师与学生之间的互动与协作，充分发挥了学生在课堂上的主体地位。
