同时要善于做笔记，有选择性地把老师教授的重点、难点都记录下来。
我们还应积极地回答问题，在口头表达中把新学的语言知识运用于实践，如小组对话、小品表演等，以加深我们的印象。
做练习时应首先复习一遍所学的单词、语法，然后抛开课本、单词册和笔记，独立地完成练习，这样才能反映我们语言学习的真实掌握情况。
同时，及时地批改和订正也是非常重要的。
建议同学们应准备一本错题集或难题集，对所学的词汇、词性转换、时态、固定句型等都能有所积累，也使这本错题集成为自己临考前的“红宝书”。
客观地分析自己的英语能力和实际水平，从而制定出可操作、可实践的英语学习计划，对督促我们有效地提高英语成绩很有帮助。
如某同学英语成绩中等，在请教过老师和分析过自己的英语试卷后，我发现自己的语法基础知识部分答题情况良好，但阅读理解和写作部分失分较多。
因此，我制定了一份英语学习的短期计划。

英语有形态变化，如名词复数变化、动词时态变化等，而汉语基本上没有。
英语语法和句子结构同汉语也存在着一些差异。
中学生的汉语习惯已相当牢固，对英语学习有一定的干扰作用。
从一开始就要养成良好的习惯，不要用汉字注音，不要用汉语句子套用英语句型。

英语课堂教学是一种多层次、多功能、综合运用各种感官的活动，是教与学双向作用的复杂而又细致的过程。
在这个过程中，如何激发学生的学习动机，调动学生的学习积极性，是英语教师应该考虑也必须解决好的问题。
要解决这一问题，教学法就显得特别重要。
好的教学法能充分调动学生学习英语的积极性。
教师要尽快适应一种信息量大、任务性强、教学节奏快、教学形式多样、气氛活跃、互动式的课堂教学方法。
英语教学的主要目的应该是培养学习者使用英语交际的能力，而不是单纯的知识积累。
一、以学生为中心模式的建立
英语课堂教学是在教师的组织和指导下，学生积极参与配合的过程，以学生为中心是这个过程的出发点。
在教学中学生如果不能发挥主体作用，势必使他们原本很低的学习兴趣丧失殆尽，那么教学将肯定无法正常进行。
假如按照传统的教学模式，教师垄断课堂，教师当演员，学生当观众；教师照本宣科，学生洗耳恭听；教师问，学生答……课堂气氛只会越来越沉闷，教师越教越吃力，学生越学越没劲，最终，学习兴趣被湮没，学习动机被窒息。
教师的“教”是为学生的“学”服务的，教师要研究学生，要了解学生对课程学习的心理和需要。
组织教学要从实际出发，使学生始终保持学习英语过程中的主动状态——主动观察、主动思维、主动回答，使教学过程本身成为学生听、说、读、写能力发展和提高的过程。

二、灵活运用有效的教学方法
课堂教学方法的选择是课堂教学效率高低的关键。

对重点、难点、关键性的知识，要精讲多练，引导学生拓宽思路、广开言路，使课堂气氛既热烈又严肃，让学生在愉快的气氛中，既掌握知识，又发展语言运用能力。
另外，还要利用直观教具或电化手段来辅助教学，调动学生的多种感官同时运用，强化对所学材料的感知，以提高学生
的学习兴趣，加深理解，强化记忆，取得理想的教学效果。
三、科学地利用评价手段
英语课堂教学中，评价起着不可低估的调节作用，是教学过程中的有机组成部分。
学生也需要教师的评价，因为他们有强烈的引人注意的愿望。
教师通过评价，能把对学生及其行为的认识和教师的情感倾向自觉或不自觉地传导给学生。
如果学生在学习中得到了正面评价，那么他的内在价值就得到了外界的承认，学习成就的需要也就得到了满足，自尊心和自信心增强，会感到一种自我实现的快慰，随之而来的学习外语的积极性便会渐渐提高，同时唤起更高水平的需要；相反，如果学生得到的负面评价过多，就会产生消极影响，有些学生，特别是成绩较差的学生，会产生破罐子破摔的逆反心理，信心下降。
因此，教师应该从实际出发，对具体人提出具体要求，使学习好的学生感到英语课大有学头，让学习差的学生觉得有信心学好。
教师提问时，对学习积极性不高的学生，要提些稍加思考就能回答出的问题，并及时给予表扬和鼓励，以加强其自信心；对成绩较好的学生，可以提些稍难的问题，在表扬的同时要指出其不足，以防止产生骄傲情绪。
教师要善于利用有效的评价方法，捕捉学生学习的闪光点，多表扬、少批评，多肯定、少否定，使每个学生在既轻松愉快又热烈紧张的状态下学习和掌握英语基础知识。
但同时，教师也要接受学生的评价，敢于承认自己的错误，这样才能建立教师的威信和师生之间的感情。
四、注意保持平等和谐的师生关系
平等和谐的师生关系是形成良好课堂气氛的基础。
课堂交往中，学生对教师的人格态度、专业水平、教学方法，甚至对某一问题的看法，都会自觉不自觉地进行评价，做出“信任”或“不信任”的判断，和“亲近”或“不亲近”的情感反应；甚至于把对教师的好恶迁移到教师所授课程上来，对教师没有好感，也就不想学他教的课。
如果教师只对出类拔萃的学生感兴趣，表现出厚爱，而冷落了成绩差的学生，那么就会造成成绩偏好的学生自以为是、骄傲自满，成绩差的学生灰心丧气、感到自卑，慢慢就会产生抵触情绪，对学习失去信心。
一旦学生与教师产生了对立情绪，教师的教学就显得无能为力了。
教学中，教师应热爱每个学生，尊重每个学生，关心每个学生，对学生一视同仁；不要因为学生的成绩优劣以及性别、出身等的不同而产生亲疏和偏向。
提问题或组织课堂活动，机会
要尽量均等，尤其要注意多给那些自卑感强的学困生表现的机会，以增强他们学习的自信心。
上课时，教师要环视每个学生，不要只看学优生，而使其他学生感到冷落，或者只看学困生，让他们感到不自在而情绪紧张。
教师要了解每个学生的心理特征和志向要求，记住每个学生的姓名，让每个学生觉得自己在教师心中有一席之地。
如果每个学生经常感到教师对自己的爱、关心和尊重，便会激发出健康的情感，变得生气勃勃，产生积极的学习动机，在和谐的气氛中学习知识、培养能力。
总之，要充分调动学生学习的积极性、主动性，多鼓励引导，少批评教育，注重培养学生的学习兴趣和信心，只有这样才能使英语课活起来，使学生真正动起来。
