这单元新目标英语八年级上册Unit 10 I'm going to be a
basketball player 的主要内容是通过复习一些旧的职业名词和学习一些新的职业的词汇，使用be going to 谈论长大以后打算做什么工作以及打算怎样实现目标，与七年级（下）Unit 4 I want to be an actor.
学习关于职业的词汇以及用want to be\do 谈论将来，和八年级(上)Unit 3 What are you doing for vacation? 用be doing to 谈论将来的打算有着密切的联系。
教学目标
1. 知识目标：
（1）学习What are you going to be when you grow
up ?/How are you going to do that ? 句式。
（2）学会用英语描述有关职业的表达法。
2. 能力目标：
（1）能够谈论为实现理想所做出的打算和安排。
（2）能够谈论未来自己与他人理想的职业及原因。
（3）能用英语描述课余时间的活动安排，最终具备表达综合信息的能力。
3. 情感目标：
新学期到来之际，让他们在学习、体育、饮食、特长、读书等方面制定计划，教育学生合理安排自己的课外生活，思考自己的理想职业及适合自己的职业。
教学重点、难点
本单元的重点为“be going to”表将来, want to be,
what ,where, when ,how 引导的特殊疑问句。难点是语言目标的实现。
教材分析
本单元以I am going to be a basketball player为话题，共设计了三部分的内容：
一、Section A
该部分有4个模块。
第一模块围绕Do you think these jobs are interesting?这一话题展开思维（1a）、听力（1b）、口语（1c）训练；

教材分析 本课是新目标英语八年级上册第十单元。主要是用be going to结构表达未来的计划和愿望，并通过看图说话、形式多样的任务型活动熟练应用所学目标语言。
学情分析 学生已经学过be going to be…句型，并且具备流利朗读课文、初步理解课文内容的能力，并能够识记和看图说话进行简单地交际。
教学目标 1. 知识与能力：
让学生掌握有关未来计划打算的词汇及表达；能运用be going to
结构来进行简短的对话；能读懂并从图片中获取有关未来计划打算的信息；能根据材料写一篇短文表达自己对未来的畅想。
2．过程与方法：
首先通过展示职业图片复习上一节课的词汇及目标语言；然后创设情景，让学生谈论假期计划导入对目标语言的复习，循序渐进，环节设置生动有趣，从而让学生在轻松愉快中完成本课的复习任务。
3．情感态度与价值观：
引导学生充分进行探究，交流与讨论等教学活动，培养他们的钻研与合作精神。通过对未来计划的思考和制定，让学生从小养成做事有计划，有目的，并要通过不断地努力才能实现自己的梦想；从而将知识运用扩展到现实生活的领域。 教学资源 采用多媒体教学。
