[经典案例分析][例1](2017·浙江高考)...The books are in every language—new books,ancient books,40 a book on the history of Iraq that is seven hundred years old.She had asked the government for 41 to move the books to a 42 place,but they refused.So Alia took matters into her own hands.40.A.then B.still C.even D.rather41.A.permission B.confirmation C.explanation D.information 42.rge B.public C.distant D.safe解析:40空所在的句子在语义上表示递进,“有新书、古书,甚至还有700年前有关伊拉克历史的书籍”,故40空选C;42空后有but,应是转折关系,根据“但是他们拒绝了”,可知,她请求过政府的允许,故41空选A。

[例2](2016·全国卷Ⅰ)...They told her to stay 52 until the emergency personnel arrived,53 she thought the car was going to 54 .Larry told her that he had already put out the fire and she should not move 55 she injured her neck.52.A.quiet B.still C.away D.calm53.A.for B.so C.and D.but54.A.explode B.slip away C.fall apart D.crash55.A.as if B.unless C.in case D.after解析:53题前说他们让那位女士不要动,而53题后说那位女士担心汽车出状况,前后两部分之间是转折关系,应用but,故选D。

Nearly half a million workers who are within five years of state pension age have had to leave work for medical reasons, with the apparent divide between the North (worse) and the South (better). Those in the lowest-paid jobs, including cleaners, leisure industry workers and people doing heavy labor, are twice as likely to stop working before retirement age, because of sickness and disability than managers or professionals.
根据最后一段的“One often-recommended approach is to single out one person from the crowd”可知,当碰到困难需要帮助时,我们最 好是能够在旁观者中选定某个特定的人。]
[干扰项分析] 根据最后一段的“ask that individual specifically for help”可知, 并不是说要礼貌地请求旁观者帮助,故排除 A 项;最后一段的“simply being aware of this tendency is the greatest way to break the cycle”是在说明如何打破 旁观者陷阱,故排除 C 项;文章并没有提及要远离危险,而是强调在危险状 况下如何得到帮助,故排除 D 项。

The Moldovan has lived here seven years as a caregiver to Italian kids and the elderly, but in order to stay she's had to prove her language skills by taking a test which requires her to write a postcard to an imaginary friend and answer a fictional job ad.Italy is the latest Western European country trying to control a growing immigrant(移民) population by demanding language skills in exchange for work permits,or in some cases, citizenship. Some immigrant advocates worry that as hard financial times make it more difficult for natives to keep jobs, such measures will become more a vehicle for intolerance than integration(融合).Others say it's only natural that newcomers learn the language of their host nation, seeing it as a condition to ensure they can contribute to society.Other European countries laid down a similar requirement for immigrants, and some terms are even tougher. The governments argue that this will help foreigners better join the society and promote understanding across cultures.Italy, which has a much weaker tradition of immigration, has witnessed a sharp increase in immigration in recent years. In 1990,immigrants numbered some 1.14 million out of Italy's then 56.7 million people,or about 2 percent. At the start of this year, foreigners living in Italy amounted to 4.56 million of a total population of 60.6 million,or 7.5 percent, with immigrants' children accounting for an even larger percentage of births in Italy.Cojochru, the Moldovan caregiver, hoped obtaining permanent residence(居住权)would help her bring her two children to Italy;they live with her sister in Moldova, where salaries are among the lowest in Europe. She was skeptical that the language requirement would encourage integration.Italians always “see me as a foreigner,”an outsider, even though she's stayed in the country for years and can speak the local language fluently, she said.【语篇解读】本文是一篇新闻报道。

1.总分关系[考题回放](2014·全国卷Ⅱ)From my experience, there are three main reasons why people don't cook more often: ability, money, and time. 16 Money is a topic I'll save for another day.So today I want to give you some wisdom about how to make the most of the time you spend in the kitchen. Here are three tips for great cooking on a tight schedule:B.Ability is easily improved.[思路分析]空格前面提到了三个原因:ability, money, time。

2.解释关系[考题回放](2017·浙江6月卷)Hit the streets with confidence. 33 Say,“Excuse me,I work for XYZ News, and I was wondering if you could share your opinion about this topic.”This is a quick way to get people to warm up to you.B.As you approach people,be polite.[思路分析]根据段落主题句Hit the streets with confidence和后面的Excuse me,...and I was wondering if...和get people to warm up to you可知,B项“当你接近别人时,要有礼貌”是对主题句的进一步解释和说明。

3.例证关系[考题回放](2015·北京高考)But daydreamers are also responsible for some of the greatest ideas and achievements in human history. 72 Can you imagine what kind of world we would have without such ideas and inventions?C.Without wandering minds,we wouldn't have relativity,Coke or Postit notes.[思路分析]选项中的relativity,Coke or Postit notes与前句的the greatest ideas and achievements 和后句的such ideas and inventions为对应关系,而且是具体的实例,应属于例证关系。

4.并列关系[考题回放1](2016·全国卷Ⅱ)Some people may think that a garden is no more than plants, flowers, patterns and masses of color.Others are concerned about using gardening methods that require less water and fewer fertilizers (肥料).18 .However, there are a number of other reasons that might explain why you want to garden. One of them comes from our earliest years.E.Still others may simply enjoy being outdoors and close to plants[思路分析]由本段中的Some people may think...和Others are concerned about ... Still others may simply enjoy与上文衔接自然,属于并列关系。

[考题回放2](2015·北京高考)Daydreaming means people think about something pleasant, especially when this makes them forget what they should be doing.Daydreamers have a bad reputation for being unaware of what's happening around them. They can seem forgetful and clumsy. 71 They annoy us because they seem to be ignoring us and missing the important things.B.They stare off into space and wander by themselves.[思路分析]空格前的一句和空格后的一句都是空想家的外在表现,主句都是they,故推断空格中的主语很有可能也是they,再根据句意可判定选B,三句话为并列关系。

5.层递关系[考题回放](2016·浙江10月卷)●34.Be nice to your parents and teachers.Remember, they're there to help you be the bestthat you can be.Respect them and value their opinions, even if they annoy you sometimes. 35 You don't get to choose your teachers or your family, but you still have to put up with them.Learn how to deal with people now, because when you're an adult, you don't get to choose your boss or your coworkers,so learn how to respect them now.G.Keep in mind that they do the things they do because they care about you.[思路分析]根据前面的Respect them and value their opinions可知,尊重他们,并珍惜他们的建议,即使有时候他们使你很烦,这里进一步强调要“牢记他们所做的一切都是因为他们在意你”,对于他们你没有选择性。

6.转折关系[考题回放](2016·四川高考)Both men and women are living longer these days in industrialized countries. 36 In general, they can expect to live six or seven years more than men.

7.对比关系[考题回放](2016·全国卷Ⅱ)Our model of what a garden should be often goes back to childhood.Grandma's rose garden and Dad's vegetable garden might be good or bad,but that's not what's important. 19 —how being in those gardens made us feel.If you'd like to build a powerful bond with your garden, start by taking some time to recall the gardens of your youth.20.For each of those gardens, write down the strongest memory you have. Then go outside and work out a plan to translate your childhood memories into your grown-up garden.Have fun.C.It's our experience of the garden that matters[思路分析]空格前说“但那一点不重要”,由此可推测空格处会指出什么才是重要的来进行对比,故选C项“我们做园艺工作的体验才是重要的”。

8.因果关系[考题回放1](2016·全国卷Ⅲ)38.When buying fish, you should first smell it.Fresh fish should smell sweet: you should feel that you're standing at the ocean's edge.Any fishy or strong smell means the fish isn't fresh. 39 When you have bought a fish and arrive home, you'd better store the fish in the refrigerator if you don't cook it immediately, but fresh fish should be stored in your fridge for only a day or two.Frozen fish isn't as tasty as the fresh one.A.Do not buy it.[思路分析]空格前说“任何鱼腥味或浓烈的臭味都说明这鱼不新鲜”,因此,空格内的句子“这样的鱼不能买”与前句形成因果关系。
