一、指导思想
基础教育阶段英语课程的任务是：激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣，使学生树立自信心，养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略，发展自主学习的能力和合作精神；使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和听、说、读、写技能，形成一定的综合语言运用能力；培养学生的观察.记忆.思维.想象能力和创新精神；帮助学生了解世界和中西方文化的差异，拓展视野，培养爱国主义精神，形成健康的人生观，为他们的终身学习和发展打下良好的基础。
二、我镇英语教学存在的问题
近几年来，我镇的英语教学质量在迅速提高，呈现了强劲的、可持续性发展的势头。
但在看到成绩的同时，我们也清醒的认识到，英语教学仍然存在许多薄弱环节，制约教学质量进一步提高。
如教师的教学理念亟待提高、教学方式急需转变等，为此英语教研组在新的学期要加强学习，互相帮助。
三、活动目标
1、教学常规常抓不懈，培养学生良好的学习习惯。
进一步完善、规范教学行为，促使英语课堂教学有效益，有实效。
2、健全以课堂教学研究为核心的教研，立足校情开展教研活动。
3、加强科研指导，大力推进英语学科中的研究性学习，倡导自主探究、实践体验和合作交流的学习方式。
4、继续深入开展教材、教学用书及课程标准的学习，确保英语课堂教学研究，每位教师努力做到让英语课堂教学焕发生命活力。
通过写教学反思、个案积累，在实践中不断积累经验，创出佳绩。

六、活动措施：
1、加强集体备课，深化校本研究。
修订完善集体备课制度，充分发挥学校备课组作用，开展形式多样的集体备课活动，有效开展教师之间的交流与合作。
比如，同学科教师分别备课，再集中时间说课、交流；备课组先集体备课，共同研究，设计课堂教学，再由实验教师自主上课，形成学习共同体。
做到定时间、定地点、定人员、定内容。
通过集体备课，促进教师反思、交流、互动、共享成果，提高工作效率，并使教师集体智慧和个人风格有机统一。
每次集体备课时，组织英语教师观看一节英语观摩课，要求每位教师对其进行评价，并写好收获。
要认真填写听课记录，不能弄虚作假。
加强评课活动，发扬教学民主，浓厚教研气氛。
集体备课的同时，除交流对教材内容的理解外，还交流好的教学方法，尤其是每课难点突破的方法。
通研教材要细、要精。
细要细到一个单词的教法，记法。
精要精到每个学生都备到。
2、教师的反思日常化，提高教师的反思能力。
我们实行新课程课堂教学管理制度，即教师每周做一次反思，随着新课程实验的推进，教师通过反思、研究，观念不断地被更新，教学行为不断地在改善，教学水平不断地在提升，教师体会到了反思给自己带来的益处，于是很多教师成了自觉反思者。
3、合理开发和利用教师资源，实行学校倡导教师个体之间的相互指导，开展“老带青”、“结对子”等教师之间日常的互相合作和经验分享、交流活动。
要求名教师、骨干教师帮带一般教师；同时青年教师、教学教研能力待提高教师要积极拜师为徒。
组织形式各样的教研活动，开展送课到学区活动。
树立好的典型，发扬榜样的力量，在教师中形成你追我赶的竞争氛围，促进小学英语教学的良性循环。
4、合理开发和利用各种教学资源。
举行各类示范课、教改课、课堂教学比赛等公开课展示，促进学校内部或学校之间教师同伴互助。
学校进一步建立和完善展示制度，明确展示的内容、对象、时间、要求等，促使活动的经常性开展，为教师互相交流与学习的提供机会，促进教师深入研究教学和学生，提高教育质量。
5、学校通过举办“教学经验交流会”、“教学经验观摩研讨会”等形式，广泛开展教师教学经验交流活动，定时间和活动要求，促进教师之间的经验交流和共享，促进共同提高和进步，进而提高了我镇的英语教学水平。
