本模块是外研版英语五年级上册的第六模块，该模块包含两个单元，各单元的话题是“Unit 1 I went there last year.”“Unit 2 She visited the Tianchi Lake.”
四年级他们对过去时态的学习已有了一定的基础，能够正确地运用“Where did you go?”“Did you go to …?”等句型来进行问答交流。
但是，真正能开口把自己的经历大胆表达出来的孩子并不多，他们的问答仅仅局限于课本中刚学的几个句子，不能把以前学过的知识整合运用。
因此，在本课教学中，我的重要任务就是通过设计贴近现实情境的连环性的活动，让学生充分联系已学知识，把潜藏在大脑中的词、句挖掘出来，与现有的新句型相联系，从而生成新的知识储存，并用流利的语言表达出来。
基于话题建构语言,围绕Travel话题,启发学生提出问题,Where……? When……? Who……?进行语篇教学,构建思维导图,解决问题;基于目标设计活动,让学生从感知理解语言到模仿操练语言,再到尝试运用语言,体现了语言学习的基本规律;基于体验激活思维,进行情感教育,爱祖国，爱生活。
他们对过去时态的学习已有了一定的基础，能够正确地运用“When did you go there?”“ What did you go …?”等句型来进行问答交流。
因此，在本课教学中，教师应在此基础上引出话题travel，通过创设情景，进一步引导学生巩固和拓展对过去式的表达及运用。
