一、 说教材
（一）教材的地位的作用
本单元讨论的主题是“传说和故事”，其功能项目是讲故事
（tell a story）。语言目标是要求学生用连词unless, as soon as,
以及so…that结构的用法。 分为Section A, Section B, Self Check
三个部分。本单元内容与实际生活息息相关，是学生感兴趣的话题。
本单元是围绕story来展开话题的一个单元，分为五个课时。本节课
为本单元第三课时，主要以中国传统的故事西游记为主题，让学生能
听懂故事，并能用英语为他人讲述故事。
（二）学习目标
1) 学习掌握下列词汇：object, magic, stick, hide, tail,
turn…into, excite, western
2）阅读短文，能按要求找到相应的信息。
3）通过阅读提高学生们的阅读能力。
4) 了解《西游记》中美猴王这一人物的大体情况。
（三）学习重难点
1. 学习重点：
1) 掌握本部分出现的生词和词组，达到熟练运用的目标。
2) 阅读短文，获得相关的信息。通过阅读练习，来提高阅读能
力。
2. 学习难点：
1) 阅读短文，获得相关的信息的能力。
2) 理解并运用所学的词汇及表达方式。
三、说学情
学生是学习的主体，对学生情况的分析是教学工作的关键环节。
八年级学生的特点：八年级学生经过一年多系统的英语学习，具备了
一定的听说基础，正逐步向读，写过渡，通过一年多新课程理念的熏
陶和实践，有了初步自主合作，分析归纳的能力。并处于知识积累，
前后知识衔接，培养良好的学习习惯的关键时期。大部分学生对英语
有一定兴趣，但由于知识的安排由浅入深，有少数学生对这门学科产
生了厌恶心理，消除学生厌学情绪，激发学习兴趣至关重要。
基于以上学情，我制定了以下学法。
四、说学法
1.善于抓住用英语交际的机会，充分感知，积极体验，大胆感知。
2.积极参与，善于合作，培养团队合作意识。
3.为赢取“英语课堂最佳表现奖”而努力表现。
依据：新课程标准提出的感知---体验----实践-----参与----合
作。以及形成性评价。
五、教学过程
Step 1 Lead in

story of Monkey King.

Step 2 Reading
1). Listen and answer the questions.

What he can do:
① He can make 72 changes to his shape and size, turning himself
into different animals and objects
② He can make his magic stick small or large.
What he can’t do:
Unless he can hide his tail, he can’t turn himself into a person.
