Instructions:You have 30 minutes to complete this task.Your response should be no less than 800 words.Write your essay on the answer sheet provided. The essay should be well-organized and coherent.Use proper grammar, vocabulary, and mechanics.Topic:Discuss the following statement: "The internet has a greater impact on our lives than offline interactions."Essay:In the tapestry of human experience, the advent of the internet has woven intricate threads, irrevocably intertwining the digital and physical realms. While offline interactions have long served as the cornerstone of human connection, the internet has emerged as a formidable force, challenging the primacy of these traditional forms of communication and social engagement. This essay will argue that the internet indeed exerts a greater influence on our lives than offline interactions, considering its ubiquitous presence, transformative potential, and profound impact on our cognitive, social, and economic landscapes. The internet's ubiquitous presence has made it an indispensable tool in our daily lives. With smartphones, laptops, and tablets within easy reach, we are constantly connected to a vast network of information, entertainment, and services. From instant messaging to video conferencing, the internet has bridged geographical barriers, enabling us to communicate with friends and family across continents. Online shopping has revolutionized commerce, providingaccess to a plethora of products and services at the click of a button. Moreover, the internet has become an essential resource for education and research, empowering us to learn new skills, expand our knowledge, and access a wealth of information that was once inaccessible. In addition to its practical applications, the internet has also transformed the way we consume and interact with media. Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter have become powerful tools for information dissemination and social engagement. Through these online spaces, we can share our thoughts, opinions, and experiences with an audience that extends far beyond our immediate social circles. Moreover, the internet has given rise to new forms of entertainment, such as streaming services and online gaming, which have captured the attention of millions worldwide.Furthermore, the internet has had a profound impact on our cognitive processes. The constant barrage of information and the ease with which we can access it have led to changes in the way we process and retain knowledge. While some argue that the internet has led to a decline in attention spans and critical thinking skills, others maintain that it has fostered cognitive flexibility and the ability to navigate a complex and interconnected world. However, it is undeniable that offline interactions remain an essential part of the human experience. Face-to-face interactions provide a depth of nonverbal communication and emotional connection that is difficult to replicate online. From sharing a meal with loved ones to attending a live performance, offline interactions offer unique and irreplaceable experiences that contribute to our well-being and sense of community.Ultimately, the question of whether the internet or offline interactions have a greater impact on our lives is not an either-or proposition. Both play crucial roles in shaping our experiences and connecting us to the world around us. The internet has undoubtedly expanded our horizons and provided us with unprecedented access to information and entertainment. Yet, offline interactions continue to provide a vital foundation for our social, emotional, and cognitive development. In conclusion, while offline interactions will always hold a special place in our lives, the internet has emerged as a powerful force that has profoundly transformed the way we live, learn, and interact with the world. Its ubiquitous presence, transformative potential, and cognitive, social, and economic impact have made it an indispensable part of our daily lives. As we navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape, it is essential to strike a balance between embracing the benefits of the internet and preserving the richness and depth of offline human connections.。

2023年12月英语四级作文题目公布(3套CET4写作真题题目完整版)(6篇)英语四级真题作文题目及篇一One glance at a pyramid can leave the viewer in awe of its beauty and splend or. Upon closer examination, however, one might be surprised to discover that such a grandiose structure is composed entirely of ordinary stones. Most people are familiar with the proverb: Rome was not built in a day. An object as grand as a pyramid is likewise not so quickly or easily constructed. Just as the greatness of the city of Rome is due to the combination of its smaller parts, a pyramid is only as strong as the stones it is comprised of. The image of a pyramid reminds us that great success is in fact an accumulation of small achievements.History proves that many famous artists and scientists are only successful because of their continued efforts, even after numerous failures. One might recall Leonardo Dancing‘s drawing of an egg, Wang Xi Zhi practicing handwriting, or Thomas Edison inventing the light bulb, for example. The fable that tells us that even water can eventually pierce through stone also points to the importance of patience and diligence. We should take such stories and histories into account and remember the importance of fundamentals; remember that one can build a pyramid only if one is willing to work with small stones. People would be wise to abandon rash inclinations and instead try in earnest. Perseverance is sure to lead to success.英语四级真题作文题目及篇二Dear Ms. Riddle,I would like to know if I could ask for a casual leave of absence from your Oral English class this Thursday morning.Yesterday afternoon I got a phone call from my cousin, who is now operating a small company in suburbs of this city. 英文书写范文模板四线三格图片文本作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Four Line Three Box Picture EssayToday we had to do a really fun writing activity in class. Mrs. Johnson gave each of us a piece of paper with four lines and three boxes drawn on it. She called it a "four line three box graphic organizer." I think it was supposed to help us organize our thoughts before writing, but it kind of just looked like a funny little picture to me!The first line had one box at the end. Mrs. Johnson told us to write our main idea or topic there. Hmmm...what should I write about? I looked around the classroom for inspiration. Crayons? No, too boring. The class pet hamster? Maybe, but I've written about Furball a million times already. My mind wandered until my eyes landed on the big tree right outside our window. That's it! I'll write about trees!I carefully wrote "Trees" in the first box, making sure to use my best printing. I wanted Mrs. Johnson to be able to read it easily. Plus, I knew if I did a good job, maybe she would let mepick out a prize from the treasure box after class. I really want that new baseball card she just put in there.Okay, with my topic decided, it was time to move to the second line. This one had two boxes at the end instead of just one. "These will be for your two main supporting ideas about your topic," Mrs. Johnson explained. "Anything you want to tell about trees, but just two big ideas to keep your writing focused."Trees, trees...what did I want to say about trees? I spinning my pencil around and tapping it on my desktop while I thought. Then it hit me - trees are tall and they have leaves! Duh! Those could be my two supporting ideas. In the first box of line two, I wrote "tall" in my neatest letters. Then in the second box, I wrote "leaves." Two supporting ideas - check! The third line had three boxes after it. "These will be your three main detail boxes," said Mrs. Johnson. "You'll use them to list off three specific details you want to include for each of your two supporting ideas when you start writing."This was the tricky part. What three details did I want to include about trees being tall and having leaves? I opened up my desk and pulled out my trusty pencil case full of colored pencils. Maybe some colored notes would help me think. For the "tall" supporting idea, I decided to write:Can see over houses (green pencil)Have to climb up (red pencil)Some are taller than buildings (blue pencil)Then for the "leaves" supporting idea, I wrote:Are green in spring/summer (green pencil)Change colors/fall off in autumn (orange pencil)Are food for animals like squirrels (brown pencil)I had filled up all three boxes for that line with my details. This graphic organizer was pretty easy to follow so far! Just one more line to go.The fourth and final line didn't have any boxes after it. "This is where you'll write your closing thoughts and conclusion," Mrs. Johnson told us. "Wrap it all up in a way that restates your main idea and supporting ideas one last time."Hmm...how could I wrap up my essay about trees in a good way? I spun my pencil around while I thought. Maybe I could give one final summary fact about trees? Or say why they are important? Finally, I wrote: "In conclusion, trees are very tall plants that have leaves and branches. They make our neighborhoods look nice and provide homes for animals. We need trees!"There, I had filled out the entire four line three box graphic organizer! It had my main idea of trees, two supporting ideas about them being tall and having leaves, six specific details, and a conclusion summarizing everything. This organizer helped me plan out all the main parts of my essay before writing the paragraphs.Mrs. Johnson clapped her hands to get everyone's attention. "Okay class, now that you've completed your graphic organizers, you're going to use what you wrote to help you draft your full essays. The details and thoughts you captured in the boxes will become the sentences in your body paragraphs. Just take it one step at a time - your organizer broke everything down into manageable pieces for you."I could do this! Writing the whole essay didn't seem so hard anymore after breaking it into smaller sections first. I smiled and got started, excited to turn my four line three box picture into a complete piece of writing. Maybe my essay would earn me that special baseball card after all!篇2My Summer Vacation PictureThis summer, my family and I went on a super fun vacation! We drove for two whole days to get to the beach. I drew a picture all about our trip using the four line by three line grid format that Ms. Jones taught us. Let me tell you about each part! The first box in the top left shows me waving goodbye to our house and neighbourhood. I'm smiling big because I was so excited to go on an adventure. Even though I would miss my friends, I knew we would have a great time. My dad is putting the last suitcase into the back of our car. I labeled the house, the car, me, and my dad.In the box to the right, I drew our car driving on the road. We had to drive for a really long time to get to the beach. I included signs on the road that said things like "Burger Town - 15 miles" and "Philadelphia - 200 miles". Those are some of the town names I remember passing on the drive. I also drew trees, hills, and clouds outside the car window. The last box on the top row shows us finally arriving at the beach! I drew a big smile on my face because I was so happy when we got there. You can see the pretty ocean in thebackground. My mom is taking our bags out of the car, and my dad is holding the map and looking around. I labeled the beach, the ocean, the car, my mom, my dad, and me.The box underneath the first one shows our hotel room. My mom and dad got a room with two queen beds, so I drew those. I also drew the window, the TV, and theclothes hamper. My sister and I are jumping up and down on one of the beds because we were so excited to be there! I labeled the beds, the window, the TV, the clothes hamper, my sister, and me.In the middle box, I drew us at the beach. My dad is putting on sunscreen, which smells really weird! I'm building a sand castle and my mom is reading a book on her beach towel. My sister is swimming in the ocean. I drew a shovel for my sand castle, beach chairs, beach towels, the sand, the ocean, and I labeled everyone too.The last box shows us at the hotel pool. My mom and dad are sitting in chairs, but my sister and I are in the pool. I drew a rainbow pool floaty that I used to float on. I drew the towels, chairs, and pool toys around the pool too. I labeled the pool, the chairs, the floaty, the toys, my mom, my dad, my sister, and myself. That's my whole picture about our vacation this summer! I had so much fun and I tried to draw everything I could remember from the trip. Driving for two days was a little boring, but it was worth it to make it to the beach. I hope I get to go again next year!I worked really hard on making my picture look nice and adding a lot of details. Drawing all the little things makes it easier for people to understand what happened. Ms. Jones will be so impressed when I show her my picture and essay about my summer trip to the beach.篇3My Awesome Summer VacationI'm so excited to tell you all about my amazing summer vacation this year! My family and I went on a really fun trip and I took some great pictures to show you. Let me describe one of my favorite photos using the four-line three-box format we learned in school. The first line is describing what is in the very top box of the picture. In my photo, the top box shows the beautiful bright blue sky on a sunny day. There are just a few puffy white clouds floating by, making cool shapes like a balloon or a butterfly. Thesky takes up about a quarter of the whole picture. It looks so pretty and makes me smile just looking at it!The second line is for describing the two boxes on the middle row of the picture. On the left middle box, there is a huge bright yellow sun shining down its warm rays. The sun looks like it has a smiley face because of the way the rays are spreading out. In the right middle box, there is a sandy beach that stretches out really far. The sand looks so soft and you can see lots of little shells and pebbles mixed in. There are even some footprints going along the beach from people walking by.For the third line, I get to describe what is in the bottom box of the four-line picture. In my photo, the bottom box shows the bright blue-green ocean water! The waves are rolling in gently and the water looks so clear and refreshing. You can even see little fish swimming around under the surface if you look closely. At the very edge of the water, there are some big rocks covered in dry seaweed from when the tide went out.The fourth and final line is for writing anything else I want to say about the overall picture. This beach scene makes me so happy and reminds me of the great vacation my family took to the ocean. We went swimming, built sandcastles, had picnics, and played fun games all day long. Those are memories I'll neverforget! Whenever I look at this picture, I can almost feel the warm sunshine, smell the salty sea air, and hear the waves crashing on the shore. I'm so glad I took this photo to capture one of the best days ever.Describing pictures in the four-line three-box format is a great way to work on my writing and observation skills. I really enjoyed analyzing all the different parts of this photo and using lots of details and descriptive words to paint the full picture in your mind. Maybe next time you can show me one of your favorite photos and I'll take a crack at describing it! Writing about pictures is just one more way to relive those special moments forever.篇4Picture 1: A boy is walking home from school, kicking a stone on the ground.Picture 2: The boy kicks the stone too hard and it goes flying, breaking a window.Picture 3: The boy looks scared as an angry man comes out of the house yelling at him.The Broken WindowOne sunny day, I was walking home from school like I do every day. I had my backpack on and was kicking a little rocky stone along the ground in front of me. Kick, kick, kick went the stone as I made my way down the sidewalk.I was feeling kind of bored that day. School had been pretty boring with lots of lessons on things like math and reading. Don't get me wrong, I like learning and all, but sometimes I wish we could do more fun stuff! Anyway, I was just kicking this stone along, not really thinking about much. Then something crazy happened! I gave the stone an extra hard kick without meaning to. It went zooming through the air faster than a rocket ship! Before I could even blink, CRASH! The stone smashed right through a window on a house up ahead. Shattered glass went flying everywhere! My heart felt like it stopped beating for a second. I just stood there frozen with my mouth hanging open. Ohhhh no, I thought, I'm in super big trouble now! What am I going to do? I'd never broken a window before. I heard yelling coming from inside the house.A second later, the front door flew open and out stormed the angriest looking man I've ever seen. He had a red face and was shouting at the top of his lungs. "HEY YOU KID! WHAT DOYOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, BREAKING MY WINDOW? YOU'D BETTER HAVE A GOOD EXPLANATION FOR THIS!"I was shaking like a leaf and thought I might pee my pants, I was so scared. The angry man stomped up the front steps right up to me, still yelling. "WELL? I'M WAITING! WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF?"I could barely squeak out the words. "I...I'm s-s-sorry sir. I was just k-kicking a rock down the sidewalk and I k-kicked it too hard. I didn't mean to break your window! I promise! It was an a-accident!"The man glared at me, fists clenched. He looked like he was going to explode. "AN ACCIDENT? YOU THINK THAT'S AN EXCUSE YOU LITTLE BRAT? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH IT'S GOING TO COST TO FIX THAT WINDOW?"Tears started rolling down my cheeks. This was the scariest thing that had ever happened to me. "I'm r-really, really sorry!" I blubbered. "I'll do anything, I promise! I'll pay for the window, I'll do chores for you, whatever you want! Just please don't be mad!"I braced myself, preparing for the worst. I thought for sure this furious man was going to grab me and shake me until myteeth rattled. But then, his face suddenly softened. He let out a huge sigh and unclenched his fists."Ahh, don't cry kid. I didn't mean to scare you so bad," he said in a calmer voice. "You're obviously just a little guy who made a mistake. Accidents happen, I guess. But you need to be more careful playing around like that, you hear? You're lucky nobody got hurt this time."I nodded furiously, wiping my runny nose with my sleeve. "Yes sir, I understand! I'll be way more careful from now on, I promise!"The man gave me a little smile. "Alright then, no harm done. Why don't you just run along home now? And try to stay out of trouble!"He turned and headed back towards his house, shaking his head. I couldn't believe how quickly his mood had changed! One second he was the most terrifying man on the planet, the next he was smiling and letting me off the hook. Adults are so weird sometimes! As I continued my walk home, my heart was still thumping away. I couldn't stop replaying what had just happened over and over in my mind. I felt so relieved that the angry man hadn'tpunished me more, but I also felt kind of silly for getting so worked up. From now on, I promised myself, I would be way more careful about kicking rocks and stones around. The last thing I wanted was a repeat of that scary situation! When I got home, my mom could tell right away that something was wrong. "What's the matter, honey? You look like you've seen a ghost!" She rushed over and gave me a big hug.I told her everything - about kicking the rock, breaking the window, the furious man yelling at me. By the time I got to the end, she hada bemused look on her face."Well, it sounds like you learned an important lesson today about being more responsible!" she said. "I'm just glad that man took it easy on you in the end. Next time, leave the rocks alone while you're walking, OK?""OK Mom, I will! I've definitely learned my lesson, that's for sure!"From that day on, I made sure to be super careful any time I was kicking or throwing anything around. I never wanted to go through somethingso scary again! Always be aware of your surroundings, and think before you act - that's what I took away from the whole experience with the broken window. It was a lesson I would never forget.篇5My Weekend AdventureThis past weekend was so much fun! On Friday after school, my teacher Mrs. Smith handed out these really cool worksheets. They had four lines to write on and three big boxes to draw pictures in. She told us we had to write a story over the weekend and draw pictures in the boxes to go along with our story. I was so excited because I love writing stories and drawing pictures! As soon as I got home from school, I sat down at the kitchen table with my worksheet, some pencils, and started brainstorming ideas. My little brother Tommy kept bugging me and trying to look at my paper. "Whatcha doin'? Can I have one too?" he whined. I shooed him away because I wanted my story to be a surprise.I decided my story was going to be about me going on an awesome adventure over the weekend. In the first box, I drew a picture of myself waking up on Saturday morning feeling bored. Iwrote about how I was complaining to my mom that I had nothing to do. She suggested I use my imagination and go on a pretend adventure. For the second box, I drew myself putting on a safari hat and hiking boots. I packed a backpack with binoculars, a canteen, a compass, and a rope. Then I headed out the backdoor into our yard which suddenly looked like a thick, wild jungle. I wrote all about having to hack through vines and tall grass with a monkey following me and screeching. The third box was my picture of me discovering a Temple of Doom in the middle of the jungle. I drew crumbling ruins, vines covering the entrance, and a slithering snake standing guard. In my story, I had to use the rope to climb up and over the ruins, avoiding the snake's venomous bite. Inside the temple were all sorts of treasures like gold coins and jewel-encrusted goblets. But I watched out for booby traps! In the fourth and final box, I drew myself coming back into the house through the backdoor holding an overflowing bag of treasure. My mom was so surprised and didn't know where I had been all day. I just smiled and said "It's a secret!" Then I wrote about how I put all the treasure in my room for safekeeping from any evil mummies who might come looking for it.Writing and drawing my adventure story was so much fun! I used all four lines to write a beginning, middle, and end. And the three boxes helped me organize the pictures to match the story perfectly. I even added some funny bits, like Tommy being a pesky little brother at the start. I got my creative juices flowing and had a blast pretending to go on an epic journey right in my own backyard. When I took my completed worksheet back to school on Monday, Mrs. Smith loved it! She said my pictures were very imaginative and colorful. And she thought my story was highly entertaining and clever, especially the part about finding treasure in the Temple of Doom. Some of the other kids' stories were also really good, like Molly went to outer space and Dylan fought a dragon. But I think mine was probably the best!Mrs. Smith posted our worksheets all up on the walls in the classroom for everyone to see. I felt so proud looking at my adventure hanging up there. I can't wait for the next time we get to do a four line, three box picture story worksheet. Maybe I'll go under the sea and meet some mermaids next time. Or maybe I'll fly through some magical clouds on a jetpack! The possibilities are endless when you use your creativity and a little storytelling. I'm already getting excited just thinking about it!篇6My Summer Vacation AdventureLast summer, my family and I went on the most amazing adventure! We took a big trip to the beach and it was so much fun. Let me tell you all about it using this picture composition template.[Panel 1 - Four lines of text with an image]It was a hot, sunny morning and we had just arrived at the beach after a long drive. I could smell the salty ocean air and hear the waves crashing on the shore. "Yay! We're finally here!" I shouted, jumping out of the car. I was so excited to play in the warm sand and cool water. In this picture, you can see me running towards the bright blue ocean, kicking up sand behind me. The sun is shining brightly and there are seagulls flying overhead. My parents are unloading all of our beach stuff like towels, toys, and a big umbrella from the trunk of our car.[Panel 2 - Four lines of text with an image]After setting everything up on the beach, it was finally time to swim! I quickly put on my new swimming trunks with littlesharks on them and grabbed my boogie board. "Last one in is a rotten egg!" I yelled to my parents as I raced towards the waves. The water was cold at first but felt refreshing on the hot day.I spent hours riding the waves in on my boogie board and jumping over the smaller ones. I even saw some little fish swimming around my feet! In this picture, you can see me laying on my boogie board with the waves splashing behind me, having a great time.[Panel 3 - Four lines of text with an image]Later that day, we had a picnic lunch of sandwiches and fruit on the beach. I had worked up quite an appetite from all my playing! After eating, we went for a long walk down the shore looking for seashells and cool rocks. I found so many neat ones to take home as souvenirs. This last picture shows me with a big smile, holding up a beautiful conch shell I discovered half-buried in the sand. You can also see my mom and dad walking ahead of me, holding hands. It was such a wonderful day that I'll never forget![Panel 4 - Four lines of text]We spent the whole week at the beach going swimming, building sandcastles, flying kites, and just relaxing together as afamily. Those summer days went by way too fast! On our drive home, I made sure to carefully pack away all of my seashell treasures to remember the fun I had. I can't wait to go back to the beach again next summer! That was the best family vacation ever. Looking at these pictures helps me relive all the great memories we made. I feel so lucky that my parents took me on such an awesome trip last summer. I hope we can have another fun adventure like that again soon! Maybe next time we can go camping or visit a big city. No matter where we go though, I know we'll make more terrific memories together.。

You can go from London to Paris by coach, plane or train. Travelling by plane is the fastest but also the most expensive way. It’s also less interesting than by coach or by train. The coach is cheaper than the train and the plane, but it’s also slower and uncomfortable. The train is the second most expensive and second fastest way to travel. Travelling by train is the most interesting way because you can look out of the window at the countryside.
