Unit 4When is the art show?
单元教学解读
本单元的主题是“日期”。
此部分主要分为Main scene、A、B和C四个部分。
Main scene用以导入本单元的话题，是本单元所学知识的总体概括。
A部分主要包括Let’s try、Let’s talk、Let’s learn、Ask and answer、Let’s spell五个环节。
此部分主要学习用句型“—When is＋节日/活动？—It’s on＋具体日期．”谈论某个节日或活动的日期，并学习英语日期的表达法以及序数词first、second、third、fourth和fifth。
在这一部分，学生还需要学习字母组合th在单词中的发音规律，并能正确拼读含字母组合th的单词。
B部分主要包括Let’s try、Let’s talk、Let’s learn、Look and write、Read and write、Let’s check和Let’s wrap it up七个环节。
此部分主要学习用句型“—When is your birthday？—My birthday/It is on＋具体日期．”谈论某人的生日日期以及更多序数词的表达。
此外，此部分还增设了几个练习环节，帮助学生巩固重点知识。
C部分主要包含Story time一个环节。
它以趣味故事的
形式帮助学生巩固和延伸知识面。
本课主要学习如何谈论某节日、活动或生日的日期，与第三单元的知识联系较为紧密。
不同的是，本课谈论的日期需要具体到具体的某一天。
老师在教学过程中，可以将前后两个单元的句型进行对比，让学生发现其中的异同。
本课的难点在于日期的表达，在教学过程中，老师可通过呈现例词，让学生进行发现式的学习，自主地总结规律，达到事半功倍的效果。

Unit 4 When is the art show第一课时课时内容A Let’s try Let’s talk课时分析本课时是人教版五年级下册第四单元的第一课时。
主要是通过对话的情景学会询问和回答某节日日期的句型. 引导学生了解中西方重要节日的日期，培养学生学习英语的兴趣。
本课时是整个单元的首课时，在本单元中起引领与铺垫作用.本课时的重点是核心句型的灵活运用。
本课时包括Let’s try 和Let’s talk 两个版块。
Let’s try是听力练习，通过呈现张鹏正在为运动会刻苦练习跑步，Mr Jones 询问他运动会何时举行的一段对话录音，让学生初步感知A部分的核心句型。
Let’s talk通过呈现Mr Jones和张鹏就四月份的两个特殊的日子—愚人节和复活节日期进行对话的情景，引出句型。
此版块的话题贴近学生的心理，很能激发学生学习的兴趣。
在课堂教学中，首先要整体把握本单元教学内容，教学重点和教学难点，借助课件、自制图片等多种方式呈现，采用你来问，我来答、创编对话多种教学活动，全面调动学生的积极性，培养学生灵活运用语言的能力。
本课时的教学内容是本册第三单元教学内容的延续，When is...? It’s ... 的句型学生们在前面的教学中已经学过，为本单元的教学打下了很好的基础。
