I. Analyzing teaching material
This unit is from the first book of GO FOR IT for grade 7. In Section A, the text tells
the students how to ask the position of things. In Section B, students know how to
describe the position of things. It’s helpful to improve the students’ communicative
ability.
II.The analysis of students
This unit is for the students of Grade 7. It’s important in their daily life. And it is close
to their daily life, so students will be certainly interested in it.
III.Teaching objectives

(1) 本句是以疑问副词where（在哪里）引导的特殊疑问句，用来询问地点或位置。其结构为“Where + be +主语?”，句子的主语可以是人或物，be动词要与后面的主语保持一致。其中where’s是where is的缩写形式。如：
Where are your parents? 你的父母在哪里？
(2) 在回答该句子时，用“主语 + be + 表地点的介词短语.”，意为“……在……”。句子的主语一般用代词代替，以避免与前面问句中的名词重复。如：

2. I don’t know. 我不知道。
(1) 本句是否定句，其中know (知道)是实义动词，变否定句时需要根据主语的情况加助动词do (主语是第一、二人称或复数时)或does (主语是第三人称或单数时)。如：

【单元教材分析】
本单元以谈论物品位置（Things around the house）为话题，要求学生学会方位介词on，
