鹅妈妈童谣是英国民间的童谣集，中译
为鹅妈妈童谣集。这些民间童谣在英国流 传时间相当久，有的长达数百年，总数约 有八百多首，内容典雅，有幽默故事、游 戏歌曲、儿歌、谜语、催眠曲、字母歌、 数数歌、绕口令、动物歌等，英国人称其 为 Nursery Rhymes【儿歌】，美国人称其 为 Mother Goose【鹅妈妈童谣】，是英、 美人士从孩童时代就耳熟能详的儿歌。

而对于拥有独特魅力的中国古典诗歌来讲，因为中国文字、语言的复杂性，很难确保诗歌中蕴含的中国历史文化可以得到世界人民的准确理解。
所以，为了使得其他国家的人民也能够理解、掌握中国古典诗歌，翻译是不可或缺的一种手段。
对此，为了有效突破不同语言、文化差异等问题，高中英语教材中英译中文古诗教学活动的开展显得至关重要。
一、 高中英语教材中英译中文古诗的意义作为一门美的艺术，语言之所以能够得到广泛应用，其中一个重要原因就是因为其具备独特的审美价值，而审美教育也是素质教育不可或缺的组成部分。
对此，在高中英语教育培养中，教师应懂得通过基于语言独特的美来给学生的认知、素质全面发展带来潜移默化的影响，进一步陶冶学生思想情操，给学生健全人格的形成发展创造良好的条件。
对于古诗来讲，其不仅拥有新颖的形式、优雅的意境，也具备精湛的语言，不论是对于授课内容的优化，还是对审美教育的实施具有重要意义。
尤其是对于高中生来讲，他们已经具备了一定的独立审美能力，思维也日趋成熟，情感的波动也相对较小。
在此背景下，通过在高中英语教学中融入英译中文古诗，既可以通过诗歌的美来挖掘、拓展学生自主阅读学习的兴趣、能力，给其审美素养的进一步提升创造良好条件，也能够为高中英语教育的革新发展拓展新思路，从而取得更理想的教育培养成果。
